It comes as no surprise that there are many famous faces who call the UK capital home. From Kensington and Chelsea to riverside neighbourhoods, there are some pretty extravagant areas that all get their fair share of celebrity love. 

Yet, it isn’t just these parts of London that you might bump into your favourite actor/ singer/ reality star. Keep reading to find out where you stand the best chance of making a new famous friend while popping out to buy milk! 

Clapham

Clapham isn’t just the home of young professionals trying to make it big in the city. Many celebrities call the area home, enjoying sunny afternoons on Clapham Common or even dancing the night away in Infernos. 

Margot Robbie, Vivienne Westwood, Rosie Huntington-Whitely, Gordon Ramsey and Joanna Lumley all call the likes Clapham home when they’re not gallivanting around the world or shooting their next project in LA. 

Bexley

If you’re an Eastenders or ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’ fan, Jacqueline Jossa won’t need any introduction. Jossa, her husband and two daughters call Bexleyheath home, with the pretty town providing the best of both worlds. 

Crouch End

Lover of all things Sci-Fi? Crouch End may be the place for you. David Tenant, aka Doctor Who, calls Crouch End home, enjoying the quirky vibe that the area has. Tamzin Outhwaite, James McAvoy and Caitlin Moran also reside in Crouch End.

Another area that attracts swathes of celebs is Purley. While the Webb Estate is worlds apart from the rest of Croydon, plenty of famous faces have moved to this gated community. 

Crystal Palace footballer Wilfried Zaha, Status Quo’s lead singer Francis Rossi and Channel Four presenter Laura Hamilton all call this place their own. It was also reported that Michael Buble bought a house in the estate, too! 

Orpington

You’d be bonkers if you didn’t know Dizzee Rascal. The English rap sensation lives in Orpington. A town in Greater London, it historically belonged to Kent. It’s the perfect place to call home if you’re looking for peace and quiet, with quick links to Central London. 

Wapping

The one and only Graham Norton resides in Wapping. It is an up and coming place, with the redeveloped former docks area complete with residential towers and converted warehouses used as trendy bars.
