What if I don’t find the new tenant, and I already have to move out?

It’s a good idea to give yourself enough time to arrange and conduct viewings before you move out. Once you’ve moved out, unless you’ve made an arrangement with your landlord, you won’t be able to continue conducting viewings. So, we recommend getting started sooner rather than later.

What do I actually have to do? What’s expected of me?

It’s simple – you’ll receive requests and choose viewing times that are convenient for you to host. Make sure the place looks its best for viewings, and answer any questions prospective tenants have about the home or neighbourhood. After that, your work is done. Leave the rest to the landlord and the prospective tenant.

How does payment work and when will I get paid?

We’ll ask you to provide your details on the Mashroom platform to receive payment directly into your bank account. You’ll receive one week’s rent once the new tenant has moved in and paid their first month’s rent through Mashroom.
