Mashroom Resources: How to Invite Your Landlord and Get Rewarded

Mashroom offers outgoing tenants the chance to get rewarded when they move out. By teaming up directly with your landlord, you can earn one week’s worth of rent for securing a new tenant. Make money when you move and earn some extra cash for your new place.  

Here’s how you do  it:

Signing Up

To get started, you need to sign up to a mashroom account. Signing up is quick and easy, and only takes a few clicks. 

On the mashroom homepage, you will see the ‘sign up’ button in the top right-hand corner of the page. 

You can sign up via your email or Facebook account. Once you have chosen a password and signed up, we’ll send you an SMS code to verify your details. Don’t worry: we only use your number to send the verification code, and we never share any of your Facebook account details. 

Invite your landlord

Now it’s time to start the process of inviting your landlord. 

As the outgoing tenant who plans to manage the property, you will need to begin the listing process. To do this,  click the “Invite my landlord” button on the tenant homepage

Next, click on the “I am the tenant” icon

Enter the postcode and address for the property’s location and click “search

After confirming the property address, you will be asked to provide the landlord’s email. Enter their email and click ‘continue’.

Voila! Your email request is on its way to the landlord. Now you can sit back and wait for them to accept you as the property manager. Of course, you can always drop them a quick message, letting your landlord know that your request is waiting. 

Once they have accepted your request and named you the property manager, head over to ‘ The Landlord’ section and find out how to list the property.
