‘Twas a Flood Before Christmas
‘Twas one night over Christmas and all through the rental
The landlord was preparing for a season most gentle.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
Hung by the tenant, spending their Christmas there.
The landlord was nestled all snug in their bed,
While visions of RGI danced in their head.
With Mashroom online and you ready to nap,
Insurance all sorted, you’ll fall in no trap.
Then out on the lawn there arose such a splatter,
The landlord rushed to see the rain smatter.
Away to the rental they flew in great haste,
Only to see the rain had laid waste!
The moon lapped on the waters of woe,
Oh, how the landlord wished it was snow!
Because what to their wondering eyes did appear
But a flooded front room, the prospect most drear…
But with cover so thorough their heart touched the sky –
They knew they were sorted with old HEI!
More rapid than reindeer the landlord did dash
To tell their tenant, ‘It’s ok, we’re with Mash!’
‘We’re covered for flooding and for leaks and for fire,
It’ll get sorted, though I admit it looks dire.
A phone call for me and a bag packed for you,
It’s not ideal, no, but trust we’ll get through.’
So up packed the tenant, their stockings clutched tight,
And off they went into the bleak winter night.
So Mash found them a space to settle for now,
While the landlord mopped their much furrowed brow.
‘What can be done, for the damage, the loss?
What about my tenant, so upset and cross?’
But then in a twinkling, the landlord was eased
Because with HEI, they were very well pleased.
With comprehensive cover, at such a good price,
Their tenant well cared for and not left on ice,
Their savings protected, their tenant so warm,
Both tucked up safe from the raging wild storm.
So landlord and tenant, each off to their bed
Safe in the knowledge, they had nothing to dread
Christmas not cancelled, we’re in this together,
Thank goodness for Mashroom, whatever the weather!
With cover at Mashroom, the future is bright,
So happy Christmas to all, and to all a good night!
