Preston Baker have been amazing in dealing with the sale of my house in Wheldrake. It is a slick well-oiled machine, but the agents know their stuff, they really care and pull their finger out to a) get the best possible sale price and b) help make the next stage of the process through to completion as painless as possible. Angela looked after my sale and was brilliant. I simply don’t know how she manages to do it and stay upbeat and give level headed advice. She went above and beyond and I am hugely grateful. Now, I am biased slightly. I used to be the marketing manager at Preston Baker 4 years ago. This means I have seen all the numbers for property launch and know first hand how much the company cares about getting its clients a higher price. Well it works, we accepted our first offer which was £12k over our asking price - a month or so later the buyer pulled out which meant our in second launch we got a lower offer. But the principle worked and I can’t recommend Preston Baker enough. Again a massive thank you to Angela. Solicitors / conveyancers take ages and aren’t the best communicators so I appreciate her persistence in maintains communications up and down the chain on my behalf. Thanks all.

Cannot recommend Preston baker and Angela Williams enough very professional and hard working. I was a first time buyer so it was all new to me but Angela was always helping me, answering my 1000 questions and the rest! Would always contact me if there was progress in the deal, made it all so easy so I didn’t have to worry about a thing! Will definitely be using them in the future!

We have used Preston Baker serval times to buy and sell in the last 5 years. Angela and the sales team in York are always on hand to help. The launch day makes the process very straight forward and smooth from start to finish. The sales after care service is very helpful as we have little time to chase the solicitor but Angela did all that for us. Very good service.

Angela was an absolute god send helping us find a property. We missed out on two at best and final offers stage through Preston Baker and have now managed to buy a property through another agent but can honestly say we wish it was through you! Angela has been the best, most informative estate agent we have met throughout our time viewing properties, nothing was too much for her! We will know where to come when we come to sell.

Awful and traumatic experience. Cancelled the tenancy agreement on the day I was supposed to pick up the keys, leaving me with no where to live and a pre-paid removals van now useless. After politely asking for clarification on building work and scaffolding outside the property the landlord decided not to continue with the tenancy which suggests to me that he was hiding something. I had previously asked for information on this which was ignored or not fully explained. I was refunded the holding deposit, and majority of the deposit and first month's rent and received no apology. I dealt with Charlotte mostly but also spoke to Claire on the phone who was a little abrupt, as per other reviews. It was Belvoir York with whom I dealt with and the property was close to The Grand hotel. I was property searching between September - October 2020. I would be incredibly careful before entering into an agreement with this agency, as despite being 'family owned' which did appeal to me in the first instance, the way I was treated was more akin to a company that places profit over people. This is the first bad review I have ever left for a company ever, but because my experience was so awful I felt the need to inform other potential customers.

Poor communication. Miss vital relevant information out of adverts and in correspondence. Not the best bet to care for your property portfolio

'Family run and independent business' that are anything but. It's more like dealing with a big business. Better alternatives out there.

Excellent experience dealing with David and his team at Quantum. The sale of our ex rental property was quick and easy with regular and accurate feedback about the chain. I can't imagine your average on-line agent being half as efficient. Local knowledge by your local agent takes some beating. Thanks again to David and all the team at Quantum.
