Lettings department: Friendly service. Down to earth. Staff Seem genuinely interested. One gripe is that this agency automatically sends tradesman for gas and electrical certificates without consent (although they do notify). Prices they charge are 35% higher than the market rates. Then again.....they are estate agents!

Friendly and professional advice

From start to finish the experience of selling with Hunters was painful. They had previously sold all the apartments in the block as new builds, so we went back with them to resell. Instead of creating a new ad for the flat, they simply copied the previous text from when they sold it before which included information about other flats in the bock and was really nothing to do with ours, so we had to rewrite the property description ourselves. Over the span of 36 weeks we had 4 viewings, and were never called with feedback after a viewing. We would call after the viewings to be told "we don't have feedback yet, we'll call you tomorrow". We would follow up again to be told "we still have no feedback." Not once did they call us off their own back with feedback. After already deciding to list the property with someone else, we emailed to serve notice on our contract. (An email we still have not had a response to). We went into Solihull to pick up our spare keys which they had from the viewings, to find that they were no longer located in the same building. After tracking them down on the other side of town, we got our keys. We have since found out that the branch manager listed on the website, no longer even works at Hunters and thus we didn't even have a contact towards the end. Best decision we ever made was to leave their services.

I would like to thank Tom Molloy for handling the sale of my farther in laws house on Broad Oaks Road in a caring and efficient way. I would also like to thank Jade Barnwell for all her hard work, she went the extra mile on several occasions to keep me informed when necessary during a very stressful time. I would commend them both for a job well done.

Very slow in resolving issues. Have been trying to get hold of my meter readings at the end of tenancy.They have locked the door to the building's meter room and it's been 15 days since I have been emailing them. It was the same every month. There was no access to the room so that you cannot know your actual meter reading.

Moving to a new place is always a bit scary! I've never stayed outside of London after I moved to UK and was petrified at the thought of taking up a new job in Solihull during this pandemic. But everyone in the team at Solihull was really kind and helpful throughout the online viewing process and helped me find my perfect home. Thanks a ton! Centrick Solihull were the Estate Agent for the house we recently purchased and they were fantastic! Elaine was so helpful, always giving updates and promptly answered any queries we had along the process. I would even go as far as saying they did more for us than my actual estate agent which, considering I wasnt paying them was amazing. We were very impressed with the service we had from Jo and Elaine when selling our house. Elaine was very pleasant every time she was showing the potential buyers and when giving feedback. Nothing was too much trouble for her and she was always positive. I would have no hesitation in recommending Centrick.

Emailed requesting a viewing. Had a voicemail from them saying they understand I want a valuation. Erm no I want a viewing. Rang them back saying I wanted a viewing not a valuation. Evidently the wrong department but they would get someone to ring me. Nothing. I rang again to ask for a viewing on Tuesday stating I could do anytime Thursday afternoon or anytime at all on Friday, they said they would sort a viewing out and let me know. It's now 7 pm on Saturday??? And I've heard nothing. I would hate for them to be selling my house. Beauchamp Rd solihull has missed a potential buyer.

Tried to buy a property that Burchall Edwards have for sale. Thought it would be a straight forward process however unfortunately this estate agent doesn't seem interested in your offer unless you use their conveyancing service, which will set you back £600. There are multiple reviews about this on the Internet so this is clearly not a one off. For those unaware this is illegal. We dealt with Paul and he was dishonest and not to be trusted, said one thing did another.

I was encouraged primarily to follow the modern auction route. This proved disastrous with very few viewings, one offer which was below the minimum starting price. I had continual encouragement to lower the price further while other flats in the same block were selling for £20 - £25,000 more. Eventually withdrew from this system and have now placed the flat on the market conventionally.
