7th of April I was supposed to move into a rental property had been vacated at the end of May,I had a viewing around beginning of may and pointed out things that would need doing before I would move in. Ended up moving in on the 14th as no work had been done, even supplied and paid for to carpets to be replaced, had builders out as shower cubicle is beyond repair, the wall to the garage is free standing and could quite easily be pushed over and only one of eight radiators and three towel rails gets fairly warm. I have now been waiting a week for something to be done and nothing. When I said if nothing is done by today 26/4/21 they can have the place back on the 14/4/21 I was told I have signed a contract. We will see about that, Tim James and Karen in the Lettings can only do so much but the property management department are a useless and not very funny joke.

I recently viewed a house in Reigate through White & Co, Reigate. I really loved the house and requested the advise from the agent as to the best way for me to proceed. I was told to offer full asking price of 850k which I did and I was told that there were no other offers on the table. Within half an hour of leaving the viewing, I was told someone had matched my offer. Therefore, I asked if I should increase my offer and was told no and to wait until the following morning when the vendor would make his decision. I knew that I was in a strong, favourable position to proceed with the purchase of this property immediately, so I had hoped that this would go in my favour. I rang Richard at White & Co first thing the following morning and once again I was advised not to increase my offer. At midday, I received a call from Richard to be advised that the vendor had accepted the other purchasers offer of 850k because the vendor and the purchaser knew one another. Richard then told me that even if I increased my offer by 20-30k the vendor would not proceed with me, despite my increased difference in the accepted offer price. The web of deceit unfolded before my eyes when I received an email from a local conveyancing solicitor, requesting to assist with the purchase of the house. The form the solicitor provided confirmed an accepted offer price of 880k and had all my personal details on it, which were provided by Richard at White & Co. They had accidentally provided the solicitor with my details instead of the other buyer. Not only was this a major GDPR breach but they lied to me about the other sellers offer, didn't give me the chance to represent an increased offer and they were not acting in the best interest on behalf of their seller. I was unable to purchase this property because of their dishonesty and deceit and they embarrassed the local solicitor who were now involved in their underhanded practise. My only advise, if you are a buyer or seller, avoid White & Co.

We have finally managed to buy a nice cottage in Reigate after 9 months of disappointments. This was largely down to the excellent service we received from the White's Reigate Office - and Richard Chaffe in particular. We had earlier tried to buy 5 properties before we were contacted by Whites regarding the sale of the cottage. They were immediately sympathetic to our situation and provided us with moral support as well as excellent professional services. The key difference from other Agents was that Whites worked with both vendor AND the buyer to get the deal over the line against a tight deadline. No request was too much trouble.

Jackie Nathan from White and sons was extremely professional while being very friendly and helpful at the same time. Her read of the market and valuation were spot on. We originally thought the valuation was high, but the house sold quickly for a fair price. We’re so glad we chose her and White and sons. If Jackie wasn’t available White and sons put us through to someone that could help immediately, so all around very happy with White and sons.

We sold our property in Dorking at the start of June, just after the Covid 19 lockdown. The team at Patrick Gardner were amazing during the complete process. Even with the unexpected lockdown. Bruce, Jamie and Hannah were always happy to help with any question, they were extremely professional, honest and guided us throughout the process. Plus they gave honest and fair advice on our onward purchase. I would strongly recommend speaking to them if you are looking to sell or purchase a house in Dorking. They exceed our expectations and we will be using them again.

I moved into Nouvelle House a year ago to experience my first taste of living on my own, and I have to say it was great. The apartment was nicely sized for me alone, and was very modern. I also had great support from PURE RESi, more specifically Maria, Mark and Leah. I highly recommend considering your next rental option with them as they will look after you.
