I've recently dealt with Finder Keepers and several others Letting Agencies in order to find the most comfortable accommodation for me. Yesterday I signed a contract with another firm, but I have to admit that in none of the other agencies I found the kindness, the professionalism and promptness I've experienced dealing with Mr Luke Lancaster. I thoroughly recommend Finders Keepers to anyone wishing to use a property management company. The company have been invaluable to me, especially as I am not based in the UK. Because of the incredible global situation over the past 15 months I have been unable to visit the UK and therefore everything has being conducted remotely, including managing renovations. James Reynolds, Summertown Office has been my key contact throughout. He has worked incredibly hard on my behalf, providing sound advice, updating me regularly on progress and ultimately finding me an excellent tenant for the property.

We have recently rented a property through Finders Keeepers. Our case was handled by Mr. James Reynolds and we were really happy with the services provided including prompt reply to our queries and establishing an easy flow of communication which really helped facilitate the whole process. The property itself is well managed by Finders Keepers.

Recently rented an apartment through Finders Keepers and Debbie was wonderful! Quick, efficient and very attentive. Very quick to chase up any delays with the background checks etc. and made sure I could move in record time.

I use Finders Keepers for letting and management of three properties and their service has been excellent. As the properties are at different locations and hence two separate offices look after them, the service is consistently excellent across both officers. Very responsive but more importantly, very pro active. Good tenants and good rentals. I have also used their property search service and Maxine Allington there is excellent. Happily recommend them.

Had an excellent experience buying a house. Richard was really pleasant and personable as well as professional to deal with. From the first viewing to making multiple offers and all the way through the conveyancing process, everything was handled very smoothly and efficiently with timely communication throughout.

Have been with Scott Fraser for several years after some very average support from other agents in Summertown. They're just awesome in every way, from both the sales and the rental side. Really can't recommend them enough!

Snotty estate agents. Refused a viewing on a property, despite ringing as soon as it was listed. It comes to something when two educated professionals cannot even get a viewing on a property, as an estate agent deems us unsuitable. We would likely have been willing to put in a competitive offer, above the asking price listed. References and guarantor could have been provided, as well as full payment upfront. We understand the need to vet potential tenants, but this approach simply reeks of hoity-toity middle England.

I have been a client of John D Wood for many years now and the service has been excellent. Of course any longstanding relationship will have its ups and downs and the team are always good at taking and responding to feedback. And special mention for Jackie Smith!

We have had outstanding service so far from the whole team at John D Wood. From the initial consultation with Daniel assuring us that their approach would have an offer within a month, to the superb marketing material and then the carefully planned viewings with Annie, Celia and Wei. The offer amazingly did come in within the month, kindly relayed by Celia on a Bank Holiday and the efficiency since then has been overwhelmingly reassuring. Highly recommended.

As landlords, I only wish we’d worked with John D Wood years ago. Faced with a request to set up a tenancy in a particularly short space of time, Katie, Jackie and the team were professional and calm – and we can’t thank them enough. Melanie and Carol have dealt with the property management side of things, and again we’ve been impressed with their ability to get things done quickly and efficiently. We don’t live near to Oxford, and it’s great to be able to rely on JDW, confident that our tenants will be happy with them too.

Booked viewings that then were cancelled. I could not choose what to view because the properties were too different (??). Other agents offered video viewings to narrow the search, but they didn't.

Searching for a property - Good (4 stars) Application Management - Good (4 stars) Check In - Good (4 stars) Property Management - Bad (2 stars); Unresponsive, refused to fix minor/major issues Check Out - Okay (3 stars) Deposit Returning - Terrible (1 star); It took 1 month from check out to receiving a notice of deductions. The deductions were unreasonable, and when we challenged them we were ghosted and did not receive any replies. It is now 2 months after check out and Chancellors have held the entire deposit for this time, including the undisputed amount. This isn't paperwork, it's real money that could be a mortgage payment or several food shops, and the delay and lack of responsiveness is inexcusable. Overall - Okay (3 stars) Advice - Apply the same level of excellence you apply to sales to property management and check out management Update - Almost 3 months after moving out, we finally have our deposit back. The TDS adjudicator assessed that the amount Chancellors recommended as a deduction was almost double what was reasonable. Chancellors make their recommendations based on 'their experience', and don't seek quotes. I would advise anyone to challenge the deductions that Chancellors suggest. Unfortunately, this process takes at least 4 weeks and up to 8 when using the TDS, and most renters can't afford to be without their deposit for this long. Once again, the system is stacked against the individual and favours the landlord. I hope that Chancellors review their deduction recommendation process and are more open to a dialogue with tenants (before they leave a lukewarm review on google). Communication was sent repeatedly and not acknowledged.

I've had excellent service from this Agent. They are highly professional. Keep you informed at all times. Give viewing feedback on every viewing. Respond really quickly, and are very pro-active in terms of contacting potential buyers.

David and Patrick oversaw the sale and purchase of our recent move and both were very attentive and helpful throughout the process. We had a few challenges with both the sale and purchase due to changing circumstances outside of our control, and they helped us greatly in resolving these issues. Highly recommended.

On arrival, I was greeted by Sarah, who was expecting me and gave me a very warm welcome. She explained the background of the development and future plans then proceeded to show me what was still available. All my questions were asked and my needs assessed to ensure the property was right for me. I was impressed by the quality of service I was given and the whole process from putting an offer to the point of completion was painless. Sarah was very helpful to push things along when they needed to be and provided clear communication throughout. My experience was an example of how client service should be. I have always had the most wonderful service from this company, who have been managing my rental property for a decade. This past year and a half, which has been very challenging as I have not been able to be in the UK, Liana the property manager been wonderful, helping me out with all sorts of administrative and practical issues that I could not possibly have managed from abroad. Having been a tenant of one of the properties managed by WEST for over 18months, I have to say that their service has been fantastic. I was a little nervous about what to expect from them, and from the landlord, but they have consistently been communicative, proactive, friendly and professional. If you are a property owner - they will do what they are asked. If you are a tenant - rest assured you WILL have a positive support service.

As a former Estate Agent myself I am fully aware of the negative attitude towards Estate Agents generally and how it is thought that they do not offer value for money. However, I would not hesitate to recommend West. This small company offers high levels of service and extremely knowledgeable staff. We had used Gavin to sell our previous home so had no hesitation in going back to him when we came to move again. Most of our dealings this time we’re with Nikki who we found to be extremely professional. She worked tirelessly to find us a buyer and to manage the sale to completion in what are very difficult times. We could not be more delighted and cannot praise them highly enough.

There is no such thing as a ‘Hamptons House’, they were more than happy to help sell my 3 bed semi-detached property. From our first contact with them, Carol-Ann was fantastic.
