I use Finders Keepers for letting and management of three properties and their service has been excellent. As the properties are at different locations and hence two separate offices look after them, the service is consistently excellent across both officers. Very responsive but more importantly, very pro active. Good tenants and good rentals. I have also used their property search service and Maxine Allington there is excellent. Happily recommend them.

Snotty estate agents. Refused a viewing on a property, despite ringing as soon as it was listed. It comes to something when two educated professionals cannot even get a viewing on a property, as an estate agent deems us unsuitable. We would likely have been willing to put in a competitive offer, above the asking price listed. References and guarantor could have been provided, as well as full payment upfront. We understand the need to vet potential tenants, but this approach simply reeks of hoity-toity middle England.

Searching for a property - Good (4 stars) Application Management - Good (4 stars) Check In - Good (4 stars) Property Management - Bad (2 stars); Unresponsive, refused to fix minor/major issues Check Out - Okay (3 stars) Deposit Returning - Terrible (1 star); It took 1 month from check out to receiving a notice of deductions. The deductions were unreasonable, and when we challenged them we were ghosted and did not receive any replies. It is now 2 months after check out and Chancellors have held the entire deposit for this time, including the undisputed amount. This isn't paperwork, it's real money that could be a mortgage payment or several food shops, and the delay and lack of responsiveness is inexcusable. Overall - Okay (3 stars) Advice - Apply the same level of excellence you apply to sales to property management and check out management Update - Almost 3 months after moving out, we finally have our deposit back. The TDS adjudicator assessed that the amount Chancellors recommended as a deduction was almost double what was reasonable. Chancellors make their recommendations based on 'their experience', and don't seek quotes. I would advise anyone to challenge the deductions that Chancellors suggest. Unfortunately, this process takes at least 4 weeks and up to 8 when using the TDS, and most renters can't afford to be without their deposit for this long. Once again, the system is stacked against the individual and favours the landlord. I hope that Chancellors review their deduction recommendation process and are more open to a dialogue with tenants (before they leave a lukewarm review on google). Communication was sent repeatedly and not acknowledged.

After visiting a number of new developments in Oxfordshire, I made an appointment to view one of the developments Savills was marketing on behalf of the developer. On arrival, I was greeted by Sarah, who was expecting me and gave me a very warm welcome. She explained the background of the development and future plans then proceeded to show me what was still available. All my questions were asked and my needs assessed to ensure the property was right for me. I was impressed by the quality of service I was given and the whole process from putting an offer to the point of completion was painless. Sarah was very helpful to push things along when they needed to be and provided clear communication throughout. My experience was an example of how client service should be. I can't recommend Sarah and Savills highly enough.

We've been renting with Penny for 3 years and are very happy with their responsiveness and professionalism. Repairs, big or small, are promptly addressed and fixed. Communication is friendly and professional. We had a recent repaint request due to damp issues. Unlike other letting agencies, Penny & Sinclair took the issue seriously instead of dismissing it. We just had our walls repainted with high quality paint. The dampness has been sealed and the flat looks like new. We are very satisfied with the management team, especially Liana, and the team involved in repainting. We would highly recommend Penny & Sinclair Summertown.

Trying to sell and buy during a pandemic with two children under the age of 2 felt impossible. Nikki was sensitive to all our concerns. By being astute, Nikki deciphered and prioritised genuinely interested buyers to view the property. As a former Estate Agent myself I am fully aware of the negative attitude towards Estate Agents generally and how it is thought that they do not offer value for money. However, I would not hesitate to recommend West. This small company offers high levels of service and extremely knowledgeable staff. We had used Gavin to sell our previous home so had no hesitation in going back to him when we came to move again. Most of our dealings this time we’re with Nikki who we found to be extremely professional. There is no such thing as a ‘Hamptons House’, they were more than happy to help sell my 3 bed semi-detached property. From our first contact with them, Carol-Ann was fantastic. We felt in safe hands; her market knowledge was excellent and no hard sales techniques were employed, unlike with other agents we had look at the property. Heather Roberts then took over with the day to day contact, and the house was sold within just a few days. Everyone from start to finish was great. Nothing was too much trouble and they were all very understanding with our somewhat stupid questions at times. I could not rate them more highly – a knowledgeable, professional and well-run team.
