I use Finders Keepers for letting and management of three properties and their service has been excellent. As the properties are at different locations and hence two separate offices look after them, the service is consistently excellent across both officers. Very responsive but more importantly, very pro active. Good tenants and good rentals. I have also used their property search service and Maxine Allington there is excellent. Happily recommend them.

The worst experience I've had with a letting agent. Having informed them at the very beginning that I didn't meet the affordability criteria, I was advised not to fill this part of the referencing application out. I was informed I passed referencing and everything seemed fine. Then, midway through the 530 mile journey to my new home (with my cat in tow), I received a phone call to say I'd failed referencing and would either have to reapply with a guarantor, or apply using a different company, or pay my entire contract (£9000 plus deposit) up front. A new reference wasn't guaranteed to come back in time, so my only option to definitely move in that day was to loan the money and pay my entire tenancy up front. After moving in, I discovered the property information pack supplied was full of errors and only served to confuse rather than inform me. I then had to report a swathe of issues which either hadn't been picked up during the inventory or had been picked up but not rectified. These included: – faulty washing machine – areas which hadn't been cleaned (including mould inside the washing machine) – broken light in the bathroom – broken shower bracket – leaking shower cubicle – bulbs needing to be replaced – 23 items of post not dealt with – thermostat batteries needing to be replaced – doorbell not working – staining between upstairs window panes due to faulty double glazing seal Furthermore, it was a condition of my offer on the property that the landlord would consider requests to add new tenants to the agreement. Having made such a request just over 7 weeks ago, we are only now finalising the process, during which time I've had to pay full rent on an expensive property. Now, over 8 weeks into my tenancy, some of the electrical issues remain unresolved. An electrician was supposed to visit today, but he hasn't contacted me to explain his absence (it's currently 6pm). Having looked him up on Yell.com, his rating is 1/5 with both reviews reporting him being aggressive. To Scott Fraser's credit, staff have been friendly, and, having lodged a formal complaint, the issues I've reported are finally being dealt with, but it's frustrating it's taken this long and required so many phone calls and emails.

Initial thoughts: It's my first time renting, but they've made it easy! They've been quick to respond and very helpful. We ended up having lots of issues and unreasonable negotiations with the landlord though. A lot of it was not their fault but the communication could have been much better.

We were very impressed with Amanda from Hampton's during our recent property purchase. My partner was selling his property through a different Agency in a different county & unfortunately his Agent gave inaccurate information & false promises throughout. Amanda, from Hampton's, was a complete contrast: she kept us up to date weekly on how our purchase was progressing, returned any missed calls promptly & basically restored our faith in Estate Agents. From our experience during our buying service, we would definitely recommend Hampton's.

Dealing with the Banbury office was a professional experience from start to finish. The team were very responsive to our input into the brochure and were extremely informed with comparable properties to support the guide price. This resulted in us realising more than we had originally anticipated for our property. Their fees were also competitive and seemed good value for the service we received. Our agents were very flexible and excellent with out of hours communication to support balancing our work lives and viewings. We would recommend Hamptons unreservedly if you are looking for a professional and down to earth supportive service.

Alistair and Dan have been fantastic from start to finish. We started with a different agent and didn't get anywhere and had very poor communication. With Chancellors it was the opposite, weekly updates with breakdown of stats and good contact with Dan throughout. I would highly recommend them. Everyone of the team that I had contact with gave a professional and helpful service. Dan was in contact with us during the sale process and even when the sale went through was there to help as and when I needed it. Could not fault them at all. Great team.

We recently viewed a house that was on with Chancellors, and we were selling our house through Purple Bricks. We really liked the house and ours was not quite selling, so we agreed to list our house with Chancellors. Alistair came over, he was clear, open and honest, which we really liked and found refreshing, so we agreed to sign up. Our original Viewing of our now new home, was with Pharez. Pharez is really personable and well presented, and is a knowledgeable chap with a really likeable character. He communicates Very well, and does what he says he is going to do. Chancellors in Bicester is well managed by Alistair, and the team, equally follow these qualities. Thank you to Alistair and the team, with a special mention from us must go out to Pharez. We've just moved into a lovely house in Witney, for which ScottFraser were the selling agents. We were wonderfully looked after by Ellie, from our very first first call to request a viewing all the way through to moving in. The process took far longer than expected, due to several issues further up the chain, which threatened to derail things. Ellie did an amazing job of holding everything together and keeping us "in the loop", even at times when it seemed nothing was happening. She was personable and engaging whilst remaining thoroughly professional throughout, and her cheery voice on the phone brightened many a day when we were feeling close to despair at the lack of progress. She did everything she could to make things happen and drive the process forward, and her approach to customer service, from start to finish, was exemplary.

We have (finally!) just exchanged contracts before moving from Southampton to Witney. The estate agent dealing with our case was Ellie, and I cannot commend her strongly enough. Our move would've been delayed (or possibly wouldn't be happening at all!) if it weren't for her efforts. However, today (Saturday) we got locked out of the flat for the first time ever and had no idea what to do. We had an older property so there were a few issues that cropped up and they were dealt with quickly and efficiently. If you're planning to rent with Scott Fraser PHOTOGRAPH EVERYTHING on day one. We got a 1000gbp deduction from our deposit for preexisting faults in house, a major one being ubiquitous mould spots all around the property - which we were told to deal with ourselves upon reporting. I got the odd impression they're way keener to check for faults after you have moved out to be able to cut your deposit money. Of course you can counter claim those deductions, but understandably, hardly anyone, aside from the letting agency itself of course, has the time and spare energy to do that - I think this agency is a great example of one that clearly knows that and takes advantage of it. My advice is, if you must rent with them, make sure you document and photograph every single fault upon moving in, and in presence of their representative (possibly even have them sign that they've seen the photographs) - of course a much simpler solution is to avoid them.

We went through a very difficult time as a House buy fell through (with a different Estate Agent )last year and we needed to find a new House for us . We had an amazing experience finding a flat to lease with Tom and his team! They were all very organized, professional, and patient. I am new to the UK and unfamiliar with the leasing process. Tom was unbelievably helpful and made the experience a lot less painful than I thought it would be! We'll definitely be back to Savills with our next move! Update: Zero stars if I could. Unbelievably dishonest. They told me that the owner of our building was selling and it was an outright lie. They knowingly work with slumlords who won't fix basic things. Now we're getting revenge evicted because our landlord didn't want to fix the mold covering two walls of our flat. They are currently still advertising the place downstairs when they know there's mould & damp. I really thought Tom was a good guy, but I was very very wrong.

Terrible experience, I would not recommend them at all! I offered on a property and was told there was no chain, after weeks of chasing for an update or an exchange date, I found out there was in fact a chain, but the agent had no details. I felt that I was misled multiple times as to the sellers situation, and the timeline for the purchase. They also refused to show the property as under offer on selling sites, despite being asked multiple times. I lost all confidence in them and withdrew from the sale, which then led to a man from the Didcot office calling me and proceeding to be extremely rude to me on the phone. I would NOT RECOMMEND using chancellors Didcot at all, deeply unprofessional.

Awful from start to finish. Shame I couldn't run this into negative stars. In trying to find a property they consistently sent 5am emails about properties that weren't even close to the criteria, that should have been a sign of things to come. On viewing properties they turn up late, with no knowledge of what it is they're trying to sell, and attempt to cover up obvious flaws/faults with awful sales patter. Had to consistently chase them for finalised paperwork once we'd found a property (Emphasis on "we", as they were busy spamming us junk mail we found one that fitted all criteria that they'd copletely missed). They consistently emailed some random guy who had a vaguely similar email multiple times, and even when told they were sending my details to an unknown 3rd party, continued to do so (Breach of GDPR). On moving day, trying to extract the key from them was like pulling teeth as they hadn't a clue what was going on and were virtually unaware of the property even existing, let alone where the keys for it were. The icing on the cake was trying to exit. I had to leave the rental property due to domestic abuse, so they attempted to charge me £50 for the privilege. Do yourself a favour, go elsewhere.

Just awful. You can't speak to someone in office to book a viewing, it is some head office somewhere who have no idea about the properties you're interested in, they turn up late to viewings, they don't ask for feedback after viewings, and most importantly they over price their houses!

We recently used Chancellors in Didcot to move to a rented property and were very impressed with the personal service we received. Tom and Jack were great, we mainly liaised with Tom and he was proactive and updated us at every stage at such a challenging time with the COVID virus. In my short experience with letting agents in Didcot I think Chancellors and more specific Tom are a credit to the service, we experienced very poor service from other agents in the area and it was a welcome surprise to us that Tom and Chancellors were so proactive and caring. I would not hesitate to use the branch again and would definitely recommend them to friends and family.

Snotty estate agents. Refused a viewing on a property, despite ringing as soon as it was listed. It comes to something when two educated professionals cannot even get a viewing on a property, as an estate agent deems us unsuitable. We would likely have been willing to put in a competitive offer, above the asking price listed. References and guarantor could have been provided, as well as full payment upfront. We understand the need to vet potential tenants, but this approach simply reeks of hoity-toity middle England.

Ben ensured that the property we were interested in was a perfect match for us and the landlord. Every step was thorough and we were guided all the way. Patrick and Julian from Allen & Harris Didcot were excellent in the sale of our house. They suggested a higher selling price than their competitors and provided a great service throughout, especially after our letting agents completely lost interest the day after our tenants moved out! They stepped in to help with keys, letters and checking the heating was set during the freeze (we live 100 miles away so weren't able to sort this). The buyers pushed for a fast completion and Julian spent 3 hours helping clear our final possessions over the weekend. Highly recommended.

Whilst buying my new home from Douglas & Simmons, Sam Broadbank went above & beyond throughout the whole process, communicating & keeping me informed constantly of any new developments that might need attention. I felt he always had time to listen in what is a naturally stressful period of time. We used Douglas & Simmons to sell our house and they provided a very professional and attentive service. They responded to our requests for information quickly and although the marketing info was an extra cost, the overall service was very good. Would definitely recommend.

We highly recommend the team at Douglas & Simmons. Graham's initial advise was invaluable, Charlotte and Lily who arranged and conducted the viewings were brilliant and Sam expertly handled the negotiations and sale progression. They also offer good value and use a decent photographer compared to other agents.

We have just sold and purchased with Douglas and Simmons and we couldn’t of asked for a better service. The full process was simple and stress free. Our main contact was Sam and he was amazing, very professional and always helpful and happy to answer any questions. When Sam was not free the whole team were just as helpful. I can’t recommended Douglas and Simmons anymore if I tried. From the very first phone call to arrange a viewing with them for a house we saw online, they have been faultless! We have been working with Sam, he has been fantastic from day one! He was my go too, if I had a question or needed something I knew that Sam would respond very quickly and help me with my query. This agency has yet to complete a single task properly (in almost 5 years) but has me charged hundreds of pounds for their lack of service (as a private rental tenant). I'm glad to see the back of them.

Kelly was great throughout my selling process. She was very focused on getting my property sold and would always communicate and feedback to me after each viewing. Also, Martin and Co only charge you a fee for the percentage you're selling whereas every other estate agent wanted to charge me the full value fee regardless if it was shared ownership or not. From start the finish the response and communication was brilliant, I would highly recommend Kelly and Martin and Co for selling your shared ownership property.

They did an amazing job at selling my house. They provided a personal service as they were always on hand to answer any questions I may have had. They achieved the full asking price for my property, even though they priced it higher than the ‘big name’ estate agents, which lead to 4 offers. The photographs of my house (that they took) were of high, professional quality. I would highly recommend using them to sell your house.

I rented a flat managed by Matin & Co for 2 years and had a great experience doing so. The team were very helpful and responsive during both move in and move out, and were also very responsible in managing the condition of the flat while I lived there. I would definitely recommend them to anyone planning to rent a property in Abingdon or Didcot.
