I was a first time renter but Belvoir made the process seamless. Jo Jones put me at ease during checking-in and checking-out and so it was less stressful than I had anticipated. I always felt that the interests of the tenant were as important as those of the landlord. Everyone in the office were also great at responding to emails and getting admin things sorted. The return of the deposit process was initiated promptly at the end of my tenancy. Would highly recommend Belvoir.

Belvoir handled the sale of a rental property. They were very professional from start to finish. Their marketing strategy was extremely effective, and resulted in several good offers within a week. Throughout the subsequent process they were proactive in chasing solicitors and we were kept informed of progress regularly. It was probably the best Estate Agent experience we have had.

If you are a landlord trying to enter the letting market, look no further! As a new player, I had my own doubts of letting my property since there was a plethora of unanswered questions. Since my first call/email to Belvoir, the journey has been so smooth. The entire team I've dealt with was very professional in their own tasks. All correspondence I had were very transparent and I've been guided by the team at every stage of the process. The entire team was very approachable, willing to listen, and provided responses in a timely manner. After following all their advices to prepare the property for the market, a let was agreed on the third day of the property going live. Looking forward to a long-term relationship with the 'Team Belvoir Basingstoke'!

I've dealt with a lot of estate agents over the years with mixed experience. We chose Belvoir Basingstoke because we liked their approach. Firstly they LISTENED to what we said rather than ram scare tactic sales techniques down our throats, something I cannot say about another agent we asked to value. Second their staff were always courteous and treated us with respect. You'd think that would go without saying, but not always the case! Third they gave honest advice about a realistic market price. Belvoir took excellent property photos and did not charge an extra fee, unlike competitors. They marketed well on the internet portals - again for no extra fee. Jon dealt with everything from valuation to offer acceptance and it then passed to Jamie. Throughout we were given weekly updates even if there was nothing much to report. I really recommend this agency for their professional 'modern' approach. Even though we could not instruct for several weeks after valuation, Jon did not use scare tactics to try to force our hand to sign up but understood our circumstances and he did keep us updated with useful email updates on market trends until we were in a position to formally sign up and market. Jamie chased solicitors during the process of offer to completion and also gave weekly updates so we were never left in the dark. Thank you to everyone at Belvoir Basingstoke!

I highly recommend Belvoir Basingstoke who have handled the sale of my property. From the start I was impressed with Jamie's honest, up front valuation of my property followed by promptly marketing. Potential buyers were vetted which meant fewer but more serious viewings with no time wasters this was a big plus point for me. The communication and dedication from the whole team has been superb. I needed to find somewhere to rent that was out of town, but still close enough for a commute to work. Looking online, the same old properties kept coming up time and time again, and I spoke directly to Philippa Randle, explained my needs, and she recommended the property I was subsequently able to secure. She listened to my requests, was friendly, polite, and nothing was too much trouble - and believe me, I asked a LOT of questions as I'd never rented before! Subsequent to moving in, I had a few small issues, but again, my property manager Mandy Tann has been absolutely superb. Nothing is too much trouble. She responds to emails and calls so quickly, sorts out my problems, is friendly, kind, and did I already say? ... nothing is too much trouble. Overall, Romans have helped me through a very difficult phase in my life with a friendly words, happy interactions, and clear and concise information. Highly recommend this agency, and if I need to find alternative accommodation in the future or buy my own property I will certainly use Romans again. Thanks guys - and don't forget, I owe you that gin on my patio!!

We had Mae as our agent and she was absolutely fantastic throughout. She made the whole process of selling a house so much easier than it should have been. She is professional, knowledgeable and has a great personality which makes her the best estate agent I’ve ever met. Not your typical flashy estate agent. She always answered my questions I had. We have recently instructed Connells to support with the sale of our property and also the purchasing of our next property. From the very start the attention to customer service and detail was to be commended. Mike Howley visited our home we were selling and absolutely took on board the sensitivities of the situation at the time due to family circumstances. Mike was reassuring and realistic from the start offering an efficient, trustworthy and honest service. We had received previous valuations on the property but did not feel that these were realistic or an approach to selling that we as a family were comfortable with at the time given our circumstances. After listing the property on the market Mike went out of his way to ensure that we had a team that we trusted. Regular contact which was friendly, understanding and professional from May and Gary ensured that we not only were up to date with how things were progressing but also provided confidence in us as customers. Furthermore Mike was able to link in the wishes for the property we wished to buy and identify a property that is 'the one' making the whole process as smooth as possible. In addition to this not only did we successfully find a new property in a quick timeframe but our property sold within two weeks. Connells knew exactly how to market our home, knew the local area and market so well the sale was achieved in a timescale we did not expect! I have to really applaud Mike and the team at Connells - their approach to house selling has provided such comfort and reassurance during what can be a time of change and we would highly recommend them to anyone that asks within Basingstoke! Absolutely brilliant experience with Mike Howley, Gary and Zoe who successfully sold my house within 2 weeks of signing the paperwork! After struggling with another estate agent prior to moving to Connells I'd already decided that I was happy to pay a little more second time round and it was worth every penny, the service they provided from taking the photographs to actively promoting the property to arranging the viewings and helping negotiate the final price was absolutely superb! I'd wholeheartedly recommend their services to anyone.

I have recently let a property through the Basingstoke branch of Connells - and my experience has been fantastic. As a novice landlord I have required a little mollycoddling and reassurance. Luke Harding has been my lead contact - and it would be impossible for me to have asked more from him. He has been knowledgeable, responsive and extremely professional. We managed to take my property to the rental market and negotiate a let within 24hours. The support through safety checks, referencing and contracts was superb, achieving a turnaround from first contact to my tenant moving in within just one week. This required a Herculean effort on Luke’s part - even in out of hours. His drive for our letting success was the only thing that pushed the deal through. Many thanks Luke. Really great job!!!!!

I used to find it unfair that letting agents got a bad reputation. How swiftly things change. I'm sure Northwood are fantastic for landlords but I strongly recommend any prospective tenant's use serious caution when looking to rent through Northwood. In ten years of renting, never have I lived in such a poorly managed house with such ingrained issues. Of course, being the tenant's, these were our fault and thus we must pay... We have now been charged over 90% of our deposit so we will be disputing it

I rented a property from Northwood and they have been the best estate agents I have dealt with. They were polite, friendly and professional. I found my privacy was always taken into consideration and they were always extremely helpful and responsive when I had a queries or needed assistance. The check out was the quickest and easiest I have ever done and would recommend using Northwood

Northwood provided first class customer service when we sold our property. The sale was protracted (no fault of Northwood) but they chased regularly for updates and liaised with all parties throughout the process. Beth and Carly were efficient and helpful - nothing was too much trouble for them. We cannot recommend Northwood Basingstoke highly enough.

The reason tenants are wary of agents. Zero use when issues arise and will fleece you. Avoid! Handed me a dirty flat to start with - carpet covered in black dust, oven filthy, floor damaged. Refused to sort but assured me this would be considered at check out. Failed to give me correct info re parking and the parking permit required. Refused to pay fine I was given for not having permit. Couldn’t access parking for one month as fob failed. Bugger all help getting me a replacement and refused to pay parking fees for the month I couldn’t use my own space. Landlord let himself in early at weekend - I was home alone and in bed. Did nothing at all about my complaint. Took them 6 months to get a leak in flat fixed - refused to pay the huge water bill which was a direct consequence of the leak and wasted water. Gave me a measly £90 towards a £500 bill. Once I’d given notice they gave my details out to other agencies - despite this being illegal! Claimed these agencies already had my details ..?! Err how exactly? Osmosis?! Let themselves in to view flat without confirming a viewing with me - whilst I was in shower. No apology. And of course - fleeced me on the way out charging £100s to have the carpet and oven cleaned , despite the fact that I’d cleaned it already and it was in far better shape than when I took it on. Denied all knowledge of prior promise that as it was in a state when I took flat on they would consider this in check out. Just ridiculous. Avoid - absolute leeches. Oh - and of course hung onto what they would agree to repay of my deposit for over a week for no reason once I’d handed over.

Good agents I was a tenant on a job location and this agency helped me throughly. I called at early morn or late at night and they would answer and get a resolution to repairs fast. They always dealt with my request fairly and Was reasonable on the check out. Happy tenant!

The worst estate agents I have ever dealt with! We had to constantly call/email because the person we needed to speak was conveniently always out! Never called back. If they did call they would not leave a message and would not answer when we tried to return calls. They would then send threatening emails saying they would advise the vendors to put the house back on the market after we had already responded tried to contact them to resolve the query, and we had already paid for surveys and instructed solicitors. On the day of completion our solicitors called to say they had told the estate agents to release the keys. When I called they said they couldn’t because the person dealing with was out!!! They made the whole process far more stressful than it ever needed to be! Avoid these at all costs!! Extremely unprofessional.

If you are looking for one of the worst Agents in Hampshire who do the following, Sansome & George are the one’s for you: • Lie about valuations to win business • Terribly slow at listing property, having to be chased numerous times • Not financial check potential buyers correctly, so you lose sales • Hide behind emails with any bad news, sending them out of hours meaning you’re unable to discuss issues • Lie about how RightMove works forcing de-valuation to make their job easier • Get passed around 3 different agents at S&G, as none were good enough at their jobs to finish what they started • Initiating “Race to survey” with potential buyers which is not a practice that should be used • The Managing Director couldn’t have cared less about the sale, and was incredibly unhelpful • No sales progression team, with all leg work being done by myself, with numerous emails/calls ignored & resorting to dealing with buyers direct as they wouldn’t assist • Seemingly breaking GDPR on two occasions • Solicitor & other Estate Agents in chain being unable to get hold of anyone at S&G at a crucial part of the process • Our Solicitor & another Estate Agent in chain asking, and I quote… “at what point are Sansome & George going to start earning their commission” The 6 month process of having to deal with this lot, has been a nightmare from start to finish. You go down the complaint procedure, and the Managing Director (laughable he has that title) refuses to accept any blame, seemingly desperate for the small amount of commission they were paid (not earned). Thank god the saga is finally over & I’ll never have to deal with this shocking company again. I can’t imagine many things more painful than dealing with this lot. No doubt someone at S&G will comment on this. Ignore them as they’re just trying to save face. Avoid at all cost.

Interested in seeing a house being sold by them. Phoned Saturday 11/5 as their website said it was open. Got diverted to the Mortimer branch who took my details and said that they would pass my enquiry on and promised to get someone to call me back. It's now Monday 13/5 and nothing.
