Can’t fault the service. Ian attended and went out of his way to ensure we understood every step of the process but didn’t pressure us at all. We signed up with a competitive rate and the house was sold within 48 hours. Amazing service. From sale to completion it took approx 10 weeks. The whole team made this process so easy and we didn’t need to stress about anything. Ian called regularly to check in and make sure all was good, I genuinely was made to feel like there was no issue they wouldn’t help with. I am selling a buy to let property as well through Romans, again, the process is smooth. I won’t use any other agent moving forward. Thanks Ian and team.

We recently sold our property with Prospect and have been really pleased with the service! We accepted an offer within 2 days of the property being advertised. It took a while for the sale to progress within so many enquires being raised by the buyers solicitors, however Keagan was super helpful in pushing everything through to exchange, keeping us updated along the way and also really responsive to emails! Given we were selling from overseas it could have been a nightmare but Prospect and Keagan made the process a lot easier and completed the sale!

We've recently sold our house with Prospects after letting it through them for nearly 5 years. Daniel White was exceptional! He went over and above what you would expect an estate to do. We rented a place through David Cliff and it was as if they'd never done it before. We have to correct their contract (which was a internet download) as it was full of clauses that referenced missing pages, even the names were wrong. Promises were made about the decor of the property which weren't met when we moved in so we had to pain every room in the house at our own expense. After we left the property, they actively persuaded the landlord to with hold some of the deposit for a small mark on the 15 year old cheap carpet which the cleaner described as too old to clean . Rosemary Mott responded with "Nobody bothers appealing for £100' which appears to suggest it's done as a matter of course so be warned. They missed 3 inspections whist we were there and a month after the expiry of the tenancy, I had to remind them to renew. I never thought I'd say this but I think I'd even trust Romans more than I would these guys. *** IN REPLY*** ... First, I did raise my astonishment on the deposit decision, and was told what I've already written ... nobody complains about £100 and it won't be worth appealing because I'd loose. Again, from Rosemary Mott. Rosemary told me the landlord was happy to release the entire deposit, but there was a person there from the deposit scheme and together with Rosemary, a £100 reduction was agreed. I have the recording of the call that I'm happy to publish if required. Also, some inspections were done and some weren't, so I'm not sure how the landlord didn't pay for the service. I have an email discussing inspections between myself and the landlord if you wish to take a look.

They were willing to facilitate a fairly late evening viewing with no complaints which was most appreciated. We worked specifically with Sally Armstrong for the viewing who was friendly and very knowledgeable and with Matthew Collins who was very informative in guiding us through every step as well as being very reachable and prompt in his responsiveness. She was an excellent listener and offered great suggestions. The following week she set up a showing for a flat in my area. I was so impressed with her level of professionalism and attention to details because the flat checked off all of my boxes except for a garden which is something I knew prior to the viewing. I had another viewing and couple of follow-up calls with Sally; all of which were very professional and she is extremely responsive (via email and phone). I would 110% recommend Rath residential. Having asked Mark to value/let my place he suggested a few alternatives. He didn't do this for his gain at all, he was loosing out but it massively benefitted myself. No other estate agent made me aware of this as it wouldn't be lining their pockets.

I bought a house through Mark Rath and i cannot fault Dec - he acted as a point of contact throughout the sale when not even my solicitors seemed to care and if it wasn't for him on completion day, god knows when i would have got my keys if left up to the solicitors. Wouldn't hesitate from recommending them to anyone! Fab Service :)

Lying, manipulative, bullying, out of touch – avoid at all costs! We were paying Northwoods almost 30% commission to be on the guaranteed rent scheme which was sold very well to us initially by Denis. He’s a very good salesman, I’ll give him that. However, now I can’t believe a word that he has said. You can actually buy guaranteed rent insurance for around £150 a year, which covers you just as well as this scheme does. Anyway, we wanted to move on to the Fully Managed service which costs 15% commission. I broached the subject with Denis and was immediately met with abrupt emails about it being impossible to do unless we serve notice on the tenant. Obviously, that’s something we didn’t want to do, and we made that clear straight away. Northwoods used this to try and blackmail us in to staying. Here are some highlights from the whole process: - Denis bringing my family in to it to emotionally blackmail me into staying with Northwoods. (Northwoods said that they were just being friendly, but in the two years that we had been with them, they not once asked about my family). - Blackmailing us in to staying by forcing our hand in evicting the current tenants. (Northwoods said that this was in their contract and they were entitled to do it. But, they knew that we wouldn’t budge on this point and so used it maliciously. They could have quite easily kept the tenants in there and in the end, they did offer us this, but too much had passed for us to accept). - Lying about the fact the tenants had to be kicked out, giving us false information. (Northwoods said that it’s in their contract. However, it is not the law, you cannot force tenants to leave in this situation. They lied to us and still continue to do so. So this point I will be taking up with Property Ombudsman as they are giving out false information). - Refusing to do viewings for new tenants (Northwoods stated that this was the tenants decision, but from what I now know about Northwoods, I think their hand was heavily pushed in to this decision). - Refusing to tell us that you had found the tenants a new house until the last minute, giving us very little time to fill the house (Northwoods knew we struggling with money and yet they went out of their way to ensure that we would lose money). - Asking us for the ridiculous sum of £1,140 to change service when they knew the reason we wanted to change was because we were struggling financially. (Northwoods claim that this sum was calculated as 6 months compensation to them, which is ridiculous in itself, but they claim they were entitled to it. We had just paid 30% to them over two years and now they wanted to rinse us more). - Lying to me about the tenants insisting I take a new 3 year contract with Northwoods. (Northwoods still claim the tenant insisted on this, which, after speaking to the tenant myself, there is no way they ‘insisted’ on it. The tenant actually asked me to cut Northwoods out of the whole thing and rent the house to them independently.) - Making things even more difficult for the new tenants by leaving the house uncleaned and damaged and refusing to clean the carpets or pay for the damaged decking. (Northwoods said that Denis went out to inspect the house and then they got the clean done properly. They think they did the right thing and were helpful by sending Denis out, but what it actually looks like is that Northwoods didn’t believe the new tenant and wanted to see for themselves. What would have been helpful would have been Northwoods agreeing with the picture evidence that was sent to them and getting the house cleaned properly, and also paying for the damages left by the previous tenant. Thankfully we are now safely with Martin and Co with a new tenant in the house and are very happy with them. I cannot recommend Northwoods at all to anyone looking for an estate agent as they seem to lie through their teeth and have no remorse about it. I did ask Northwoods for an apology and got a stern reply back and no apology forthcoming.

Me and my girlfriend rented from Northwood for only 6 months but in that time, the whole team were very helpful and fantastic from start to finish. Our time with Northwood was positive due to the issues we had and the small amount of time they took to resolve. We had a leak in the roof and they sent numerous people out to rectify the situation. They were always at the end of the phone to answer the thousand and one questions I had. I would highly recommend Northwood and if they had a property that we liked after we had to move on, I would have kept with them.

I recently bought my home with Northwood Estate Agents Wokingham branch. I found every member of the team I dealt with to be very professional and a pleasure to deal with. I would like to specifically note Julie for being so on-the-ball and uptodate throughout the whole process. If I was ever in need of an estate agents again I would welcome the opportunity to deal with any of the estate agents in the Northwood team. In hindsight I wish we had sold our property with Northwood also (the same positive feedback could not be given for the estate agents we sold through).

Right from our first contact this team greatly impressed.
