Dear whomever this may concern, Myself and my partner are expecting our first child in November and we have been through many letting agents that have continously let us down. I instructed Spencer Harvey to sell a property. From the initial meeting with Alistair Baldwin (Sales Manager) to my day to day contact primarily with Leila Sadeghi (Senior Sales Negotiator) my experience has been completely positive. These guys were professional, flexible, extremely helpful, approachable, and pleasant to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble. After the first sale fell through due to remedial works that were identified, both Leila and Alistair went beyond the call of duty, arranging a roofer, builder and decorator extremely quickly and getting quotes and work completed at a fair price. They quickly found a new buyer and the sale completed smoothly. This was not their responsibility but nothing was too much trouble. I have been dealing with estate agents for 30 years and this was without doubt the best experience I’ve had.

I wanted to view one of the properties advertised for rent. Contact was swift. Both Brad and Hannah were professional to deal with. However you're required to provide full details including that of guarantors just to secure a viewing. These details include - Current tenancy details including your previous landlord - Addresses for the past 3 years - Employment details including salary, payroll number and NI number - Previous employment details - Bank account details (account number and sort code) Even though I earn well in excess of the salary threshold required to rent the property, I also needed to provide a guarantor due to being in my probation period. Guarantor details would be as above. This is where I drew the line. Bear in mind all this is required just to view the property. I find it incredibly excessive and intrusive for a viewing. I have rented properties for 20 years now. I have never been asked for this level of information just for a viewing.
Professional service all round , a few slight issues did arise but they were handled immediately and resolved to a satisfactory level thanks
Called Carringtons’s at 8am today due to a broken lock - call was picked up immediately (despite it being out of hours) and a lock smith was with me within half an hour! Excellent job done. The locksmith was polite, professional, fast and cleaned up after himself. Excellent service - again!
I have had no problems with the Carrington partnership, everything managed with the minimum fuss. Always have had a quick response to any query and all dealing have been done in a nice and friendly manner, as a landlord residing far away this has been a great help. I would recommend them to anyone renting out their property.
