Listed and Rented out in less than 6 hours! Well done Mashroom. Excellent service provided by Mashroom, good clear dashboard for managing appointments and subsequent offers!! I would never use a High Street Estate Agency to market for me again. I look forward to using Mashroom in the future.

Amazing customer service, couldn’t believe it was free! Debbie was amazing every step of the way making a very daunting process much less stressful. Would recommend to anyone over an estate agent and still astonished I’ve not had to pay any fees for all of her help!

User-friendly, great future-proof platform. Easy to use and upload properties. The dashboard allows straight forward communication with guests. Really helpful members of the team who were always available to answer questions re: using Mashroom.

A unique and time saving innovation. Thank you Mashroom. Refreshing and user friendly. So much easier than the traditional process. Being able to speak to the landlords direct and building a relationship of trust early on I found to be hugely beneficial. At last, a unique and time saving innovation.

Mashroom was recommended to me and I’d gladly recommend them to anyone. From the first interaction with Mashroom I knew I'd chosen the right people to help me let my flat. Within one week of advertising it, I had two offers, even one offering more than I was asking for. I never thought an end-to-end process of 15 days would be possible...

Ridiculous that students are expected to pay an entire years rent despite covid. I'm taking a break year since my family are in the high risk group and rent is still expected, despite not living there. I'm having to scrape up the rent money all while my emails are being ignored. Terrible company avoid at all cost.

If you are a student do not use this agency! Kexgill and thestudentliving are 100x better. They find any excuse to keep your deposits and are not student friendly at all. We used to have to call them multiple times for may property faults and from the pictures and viewings their properties look good, but once you've stayed there you start to notice the cheap quick fixes they have done. Be careful.

Where business becomes a total pleasure ! Lovely friendly bunch of people, both when visiting office and phoning. Professional and efficient in managing our property, only ever had good, responsible tenants sourced by them. Even after one arrears episode ( Usual benefits office bungle ), working amicably with tenants produced an instalment programme which has now cleared issue, so all are happy ! Well done & sincere thanks.

My sister and I have been renting for 3 years from C&M Properties, and I must say, that the experience was stellar. We started University in August 2015, and left Middlesbrough after graduating in August 2018. During this period, C&M Properties were exceptionally professional in their conduct, very obliging, ever helpful when needed, and super prompt with fixing things that broke during our stay. Communication was very good, and we were always kept up to date on gas-boiler safety checks and anything else that was important. Over the 3 years that we rented with them, we moved houses once. Both properties were thoroughly cleaned and made ready for us by C&M before moving in, and they wrote exceptionally good recommendations for us when we were moving out. They are trustworthy, reliable, and all in all, a great Properties management agency. I'd highly recommend them to anyone interested in renting in Middlesbrough.

Phoned up Bridgfords lettings around ten days ago and spoke to what sounded a young enthusiastic man and discussed briefly letting my property. He then told me confidently that he would pass on my details to the person that dealt with lettings, I'm still waiting, needless to say I won't be phoneing them back and won't be recommending them to any one.

Customer service is not great at all, I've been enquiring about a property on Hillside Road, Norton which is still available on Rightmove for rent. I've left numerous calls, voicemails and internet registrations to view and rent the property. The landlord will be disappointed to see that he could have had a potential tenant for the property 2 months ago instead of being sat on the market for 3 months without any rent coming in.

Emily Hutchinson, 09 Nov 2020

Starting with long waiting times for replies and contract with mistakes my experience was not good at all. I took the property from video tour but expected to be told basic problems. We received inventory on the day of moving in so there was no chance of changing our decision. On the day we went in it started with broken letter box. Then in the kitchen we realised mould all over which was disgusting. The property was gross, starting with spiders everywhere, dirty toilet and bath and basically everything in the house was dirty and yellow from previous owners (smokers I guess...). The garden was dirty with rubbish everywhere. Then all the doors were not working correctly and one of handles fallen down... To make it even worse, there was a debt on the meter so I could not even cook or wash properly. Anyway there was mould in the oven so it would be unusable anyway. Well sink pipe was also broken. The lights were not working in two rooms either...

We were putting a house on the market for rent for the first time, Alex and Oliver made this process a lot easier as the managing agents. A tenant was found and moved in within a number of weeks. We were always kept up to date with each stage which was the main thing for us, very professional!

Ed Beak, 01 Feb 2021

Michael and Oliver are true credits to your company. After swearing I would never rent again, they have made a difficult process as simple and stress free as possible. Fully explaining the process and giving me all the details of the properties management company who would take care of any issues in the tenancy! If anyone is looking for a professional and efficient service, give these guys a call!!

EazyMove

What can I say about EazyMove? Definitely nothing positive. My housemates and I had a horrendous experience from start to finish, for multiple reasons. Not only was the house disgusting and unclean (hair from the previous tenants in the bathroom and bedrooms, copious amounts of dust everywhere and dirt all over the floor), there were also numerous hazards that we had to look out for. The carpeting on the stairs was loose and had we not realized this early on, could easily have caused serious injury if we were to slip. The fire alarms were either broken or missing. The cover on the ceiling light in my bedroom was missing, leaving wires exposed. There was black mold in one of the bedrooms. The shower door was not fitted properly and would not slide as intended, often leaving it to fall on us while in use. The boiler would constantly stop working and would take an excessive amount of time to be repaired. This was especially difficult in Winter, when we were left for 5 days without hot water. This left us with no choice but to live elsewhere periodically because the living conditions were unbearable. Were we compensated for this? Not at all. For starters, contacting EazyMove is an exceedingly difficult task, as our calls were frequently left unanswered or we were continuously passed onto another member of staff until we had no choice but to give up. Whether this is down to poor communication, a lack of organization or simply a total disinterest in the satisfaction of their customers I cannot say, although it is a safe bet that it is a combination of the three. Overall, EazyMove is a lazy, cowardly, unprofessional and completely untrustworthy company and I strongly advise that you avoid them at all costs.

Jake Loadéz, 22 Oct 2020

From the moment me and my housemates moved in we started to worry. The house had not been cleaned and there was still hair laden around several bedrooms, the garden had not been cut, several smoke alarms were missing or broken too. Out of me and my four housemates would you believe I had the least stressful experience? One of my housemate's rooms had black mould growing along the window frame, my other housemate's bedroom light had no cover when we moved in so the circuits and wires coming down from the ceiling were just exposed completely, and we didn't even have consistent hot water from August-December because they hadn't even bothered to service the boiler in five whole years. Even more embarrassing was the amount of time it took to get any of these issues fixed. The house itself could have been so much nicer, had this agency cared even remotely for it. Despite them being aware of the date the contract ended, it still took almost 2 entire months for our deposits to be returned to us, every email ignored and every phone call to the office being met with an empty "I'll get someone to call you back". Please, for your own sake, avoid renting with EazyMove. Even if you manage to find a house with them much more livable than the one I had experienced, should any issues arise, you will still have to deal with apathetic, condescending staff that refuse to communicate and will put off the issue as long as they possibly can.

I've lived in two appartments over the past 3 years with campus lifestyle, and I've had a great experience with them. Should I move back to middlesbrough I would be choosing them again. The appartments: The appartments are always very clean when you move in and all furniture is in good working order. They're also properly painted white with mostly black and white furniture which I find very aesthetically pleaseing. If you want/don't want something they will do their best to accomodate that. If you ever have a problem with something like lighbulbs, a washing machine plug etc maintenance has always sorted it quickly. And they're a friendly team. Being on quite a busy street I was worried about noise but the appartments are surprisingly quiet once youve closed the front door. It would be good to have certain items included such as kettles, toasters, a hoover but they're not very expensive from somewhere like Wilkos. The service: I've never had an issue picking up parcels from the office and it's always a great chat. Bonus points for cute dogs. They've also held some of my items for periods over summer which is great as I travel a lot. The deposits are always returned in a timely manor and all deductions are fair. Any emails are always replied to the next day. Thanks for the great 3 years! I really loved my last appartment and wish I could've taken it with me :)

I've been a tenant for 3 years with Campus Lifestyle and having experienced multiple other landlords/agencies, campus have been my favourite. In my experience the houses I've stayed in have been a higher quality and also cheaper than that of other "award winning" letting agents. Maintenance issues have been resolved quickly when they've occurred. If you're a good tenant with reasonable expectations of student accommodation then you'll have no issues at all.

Tom Hayton, 18 Feb 2019

Really helpful, caring landlords problems get fixed as soon as possible longest we waited was 2 days. The people are friendly and really easy to get deposit back afterwards with you tidying and keeping everything fine and dandy. Would truly recommend these for any student happy landlords who are proud. They also give you notice for when people are coming round which is lovely. Can not fault thank you !

I chose to live at one of Campus Lifestyle's properties for my final year of University and have had such a good experience that I wish I lived here for second year too! The staff are more than willing to help with any concern! With the few minor issues we have had being resolved quickly and efficiently by the team, including out-of-hours maintenance help from Mike the Maintenance Man. The house was recently renovated with new carpets, paint, bathroom, and kitchen, with a new washer/drier put in and gave the house a fresh feeling. The value for money at Campus Lifestyle is next to none, and anyone requiring accommodation for university will not regret their chose. An additional benefit is the two dogs that frequent the office regularly!

Having been a tenant for three years at Campus Lifestyle I have had a very positive experience. The quality and furnishing of each property has been of an exceptional standard and is of great value for money when compared to other companies that I have looked at for the same price. The staff are always happy to help, and go above and beyond what is required to ensure a decent standard is provided for all tenants. Any minor problems are always seen and resolved quickly by maintenance. The staff are very approachable if you have any queries and are very friendly. Overall Campus lifestyle provides great value for money and excellent customer service, and I would highly recommend them.
