6 letting agents in Westbourne Green

I had used Carlton Gate for a few years since i purchased the property off them in 2012 and decided to use them to let my flat out while i moved to manchester. The agent is on a site and deal with a number of flats. The service they give is ok to tenants but the service they provide to landlords is terrible. A number of things that happened while i was away include: Spending money when something has gone wrong without permission, deeming a broken dishwasher as being an emergency repair, letting the property on a 12 month AST with 3 months rent in advance but no reference checks. When the tenant did not pay the rent, I had to deal with the eviction process. The judge even commented why there was no reference checks carried out by the landlord agent, the agent advice because they had paid 3 months in advance. If you want to buy to rent a property then use them, otherwise stay well clear.

I rented from here a long time ago, 2000-2002 and it was a very nice place, quiet, solitary living and very memorable. I couldn't believe how the time had passed when it was time to go and since now. The pictures still look the same and well kept still. I only give three stars because i had a vehicle and they hadn't given me a parking pass for it yet. So i parked in my designated parking spot and they clamped me. They refuse to open the clamp without paying so i had to pay 70 quid in my own parking spot. I still have the 35mm pictures of the clamping and the bloke removing it and was surely crossed with that, right when cameras started going digital. When i was there the complex was packed with residence, not sure if its the same now because it was very expensive even still for today's rent prices.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS AGENCY! Review from previous tenant. They DO NOT pick up phones. They DO NOT answer emails. They WILL NOT talk to you in person. Unless, of course, it is something they need from you. They "forgot" about our deposit, we had to chase them 6 months(!) by phoning, emailing, and in person. They banned(!!!) us from coming to the agency, refused to talk to us in an email. They charged us any chance they got, they also decided to modify our tenancy agreement mid-term. They ghosted us for months, they broke our furnishings, they sent people unannounced. Is there a minus star, Mr. Google? They send builders with the keys to your house announced. As a household of young women we did not appreciate strangers coming in and out, men coming early in the mornings without knocking into your room, while you might be sleeping in Eve's outfit. Yes, it is illegal. No, as young inexperienced girls we could not sue them. When workers come to "repair", they decide to remove all floor planks, break the kitchen furnishings and leave. Yes, you will be the one putting it all back. Deposits, ah. Well, consider this one a one time payment, cause you sure will not see that money again. Threats and rudeness? Sounds like the iconic duo of Nick and Dorian. You sure will encounter these 2, once, when you are giving them your down payment with a smile, but you sure will not hear from them ever again. What are they up to? I guess we'll never know xoxo. Iconic. Please cross the street when you are close to their "agency". Story goes, you can hear them hanging up your call while muttering your name with disgust in a mile radius. Jokes aside, they will not interact with you. I am of course writing this being mean and bitter, and in grief of my lost deposit, forgive my youthful temper, but I sincerely hope you read this before even looking at Properties Actually. If you care for your nerves and do not wish to lose brain cells - do not ever consider the agents from this "agency". Even if the property is nice. No matter how much you like it, you will end up with grey hair and an empty bank account. Been with this disgrace of an agency for 2 years, have stories to tell grandchildren while sitting around fire. Hi, agents.

DO NOT RENT FROM THIS AGENCY! Dirty flat when we moved in, charged us to clean items dirtied by previous tenants despite photographic evidence. Mountain of items left over by previous tenants and poor repairs carried out. The agency do not respond to emails or phone calls unless you threaten to visit the offices, and agents were rude and unhelpful. Ended up paying £80 to clean a carpet that was filthy when we moved in, and that was only after negotiating them down from a much higher fee because they couldn't give me an itemised list of what I was being charged for. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS AGENCY!

After 10 years in London and having used several agencies, this is, by far, the best one i have ever had. The professionalism from Nick and Dorian and also their empathy, helped me several times in the last 4 years. They helped me literally through everything; they answered every single email and phone call; they fixed everything that needed to be fixed within reasonable time. And also they helped me through the last stages before i left London, leaving a good impression on me. I literally had no issues at all, I do not understand these bad reviews, they clearly were not a good tenants; i do recommend them 1000%.

On my side, I didn't have any problem at all with this agency. On the contrary: they've been really easy to reach and always reactive when we had something to fix in the flat. They also have been really helpful because we didn't have any breaking clause in our contract but when we needed to move somewhere else, they've helped us in the process to find a new tenant. Also shout out to Anna who's an empathic and lovely person.

Without a doubt the best and most professional agents I have ever death with. I rented the property without any hustle last year and just renewed the contract. The agency is managing my property. I recently had an issue with the heating and the company arranged the plumber’s visit on the same day. In general, they are nice and reasonable people to deal with. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to the new tenants. Thank you, guys!

Me and my girlfriend have been living at the property for the past two years and we (with the other tenants) had to fill complains against the agency to the council as many of the requests were completely ignored. We are with no external lights, with a malfunctioning fridge, with the house full of ants, and the agency has never come into agreement to fix these problems. They have actually pushed back and decided to evicte all the tenants of the property. As a matter of fact, we are now being evicted because the agency is planning to refurbish the house. This is unfair because the house was renewed no more than 3 years ago. This is what I have to say, just be careful and aware of our experience, as it was and it currently is awful.
