10 letting agents in Norbury

We hand delivered a new direct debit form when they increased the rent by £10.00 pound to the branch manger. We were reassured everything is fine and no further information is required from us. So we went to holiday. On our return we received letter saying we didn't paid full rent and had to pay a fine. It took several calls and visit with branch manager to convince we are not at fault and shouldn't pay fine. When we left the property after 6 months they gave negative feedback to our new Letting Agent saying we didn't pay additional £10.00 on time on one occasion. How disorganised, low, and unprofessional! Nearly made us homeless. It was 5 years ago but still annoys me until now. This letting agent deserve negative 5 stars.

I am so so so impressed with the Bairstow Eve George street branch. I had Toby Findlater as my estate agent and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better agent. He is professional , friendly warm and kept me posted at all times throughout my journey of buying my house. His response was swift and ensured all my needs and queries were catered to. On the occasion Toby wasn’t available his colleague Ashley would contact me who was also extremely efficient and reliable. What people describe as a worrying and stressful journey with purchasing a house for a first time buyer , Toby ensured it was the opposite. I could rely on his expertise and professionalism. Thank you ever so much Tony for making this experience so wonderful.

Doug at the east croydon branch is phenomenal. I required a very quick turnaround in letting a new house and he just made it happen. He has a no BS methodology which I really appreciated. Even though he didn't know me at the time he really stuck his neck out for me to ensure we was housed in 2 weeks!! Which is an unbelievable turnaround. I have mixed reviews regarding rest of staff at Bairstow Eves. Some helpful, some not so much. When I called a few times with questions, they seemed unconcerned and unwilling to help, however my experience with Doug outweighs that hence the 5 stars. My advice, ask directly for Doug!

If you're looking for a dodgy agent who will house 4+ adults in a one bedroom flat, at the detriment to all others who have to live around you, this is the place to use. They won't care if you sublet, as long as you hide the extra inhabitants when they send contractors around to do their job of inspecting the property. They also won't do anything to get rid of you, unless your neighbours take up the role of Private investigator and get "photo evidence", because anecdotal evidence is not sufficient.

I had to move for serious circumstances involving my safety , the managers son keep on complaing about me giving notice , but the fact I had to flee this could not have been possible. They kept a large amount of my deposit and refuded the remaining using some other buisness account,then emailed the council to say i was still living in the property that I had vaccated and told them I will be in the property for another month which reduced my council refund illegally. I had already moved in to temporary accommodation but they fraudulently lied and said I will be there another month which was untrue . By law I was no longer responsible for the coucil tax of the property, they are trying to avoid having to pay the business rates of coucil tax , as I was no longer responsible when I vaccated the property !! Be careful with renting with them as they are doggy and discriminative of your personal circumstances and try the above bullying tactics.They also do not do end of Tenancy Professional cleans when I moved in to the property there where mice droppings in the draw and also the was something disintegrating in the oven !! The owner of the property was quite annoyed that it was given to me in that state!! When I had to leave they had the audacity to ask me to leave it he property in a undamaged clean stated ! I left the property much cleaner state than it was rented to me that's for sure!! I have email's and a bank statement and pictures to prove all of the above. BE VERY CAREFUL !!

I rented with this agency and found them to be honest and helpful company. When i vacated the property during tough covid times, the agency were very caring and patient in dealing with me. I would recomend this agency.

I've had a great experience with this agency the staff are professional and always ready to help. I have been with them for over 2 years now and they have promptly responded to all of my maintenance issues and have overall given me good customer service. I would definitely recommend them.

not even worth 1 star. inconsistent, unreliable, unprofessional. do not waste your time or money with this agency. staff are inconsiderate, rude and unhelpful. will not admit their failings, argued that I spelt my own name wrong (on my bank card and passport) instead of acknowledging their mistake. consistently ignored calls, lied, took a holding deposit and engaged in ILLEGAL practise. all together the property was dirty with a moulding fridge with rotting food in.

Fraudsters and thieves, please do not trust this company they owe be over 20K and not willing to pay!!! They promise rents and failed to pay for one year and also not willing to give my flat keys back! Will start legal proceedings now

The WORST ABSOLUTELY THE WORST estate agents ever. Really rude and disorganised. Horrid bunch of morons really. No other word to describe them. The properties they a alleged to have are all strangely spoken of which makes me seriously think they are doing something illegal. It's just a hunch but I certainly wouldn't go anywhere near them. Extremly UNTRUSTWORTHY

Bespoke lettings and management service they also deliver and complete construction projects. They pay landlords on time whether the property is empty or not I know as they offer a 0% rent guaranteed service.

Good service to the local community

Me and my partner have moved into this property about 4 months ago and we are still chasing this agency about the same issues we had right at the start of us moving in. All the workers seem to be very clueless about how to operate the business and are very rude. When you call them over the phone they are either rushing you to end the call or they shout to you over the phone and refuse to let you speak. They ignore most of my emails which I have sent (which weren’t a few). If you read this please go for an agency which charges fees as the fees you won’t pay with this agency will cost you timeless hours over the phone and amounts of stress everyday.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE- Rude Staff. Initially, I was extremely happy about a property that was listed through this state agents. Upon an initial call to arrange a viewing, I was able to view such property although I had to remind the estate agents several times to send me the full address details and to confirm the appointment time. The property was shown to me by the manager/owner of the state agents who was very kind. I placed an offer on the property and sent through all the documents requested in a promptly manner as I was extremely interested. I heard nothing from them in days... not one email, not one call... waited and waited until I decided to call and they kept telling me they were reviewing the application. A few more days went by when I called them again and the lady on the phone was extremely rude and unprofessional. She was trying to rush me off the phone, telling me “the landlord was not pleased with your details, I don’t have time to speak to you right now, bye bye bye...” I asked her to please give me more details and she hanged up on me. My flat mate, who at the time was also moving with me called up and received the exact same treatment. This lady did not care and I decided to make a complaint. When I spoke to her manager, he listened to what I had to say however said that “it’s not a big deal, things happen” and subsequently apologised after I told him how insulted we felt by the way her colleague treated us. The lady did not care and the manager did not take into account the way that the spoke to us. If that’s the level of service a company is offering then why are then even open? Extremely unprofessional behaviour and rude staff, I also highlighted the point that I had to move as soon as possible to avoid paying additional rent at my previous property However they could not care less and kept me waiting for ages. If only 0 starts would be an option I would have done so. A message to the owner of this estate agents is to review it’s personnel carefully and pay attention. Only bad recommendations go to this company.

We’ve had a really great experience with Harmens. We lived in a flat managed by them for over two year and have always had help with anything that we asked for. Everybody we had to deal with have always been very friendly, polite and helpful every time. I recommend them 100%.

It's difficult to find 100% perfect experience renting in London, as I'm sure it's difficult to provide. Harmens were for the most part up-front and honest, they were communicative for certain and overall we left our rented accommodation feeling taken care of, and that we'd recommend Harmens in the long run to friends.

I'm absolutely happy with this agency. I've been living in one of their flats since 2017. All the employees I've interacted with have always been polite, friendly, helpful and professional. Everytime I had any issues or something has broken within the flat they have fixed it asap without any costs or me insisting. I could always happily continue using their services.

A terrible agency fails to meet deadlines, and people steal money from deposits. I do not recommend !!!
