A very professional lettings agent. I came to Monreal Shaw after a nightmare experience with another agent. Moe who was overseeing the move into my new home was very understandable and he seemed to know exactly what I wanted. What’s more, he didn’t try to squeeze any more money out of me like the previous agent at another firm tried to do. To cut a long story short, I love my new home and Moe was able to make the transition super easy at great value for money too. I’m coming on here as Moe took time out of his day to call me 2 months into getting my keys and ask me how I’m finding my new home. A very classy and thoughtful touch

Beware do not use River Habitat. Our offer was accepted at the beginning of the month and we were due to move in at the end of the month. We were told the contract would be sent to us for signature only a week before moving in - this is allegedly standard procedure across agents. Note: Savills and Knight Frank send the paperwork to you asap. DO NOT wait until a week before like we did - you'll regret it, We passed all the reference checks and with less than10 days before our move in we received an email to say that the landlord was backing out. To cut a long and stressful story short, we wasted three weeks relying on professionalism and a contract being honoured, only to be left with a week to find somewhere else. We were also told via email and not even given the courtesy of a call to tell us that everything had fallen through. Unfortunately, my skepticism to go with a smaller Lettings company was indeed confirmed.

My girlfriend booked to see a property with River Habitat this morning and received a confirmation email of the viewing. We arrived outside at 11am for the viewing and nobody was there to meet us. We tried to call the office 3 times, as we had not been provided with Julian's phone number to meet him, however each call went straight to voicemail. We stayed outside the property for 30 minutes and received no contact from this company, informing us of a delay or anything else. Completely wasted our morning. Do not book viewings with this company, especially if it's with Julian.

On Saturdays they are actually closed! Misleading ad

To be fair River Habitat has been trading 21 years so there will always be a few issues as I note from the website and previous reviews. I have been in one of the River Habitat rented flats for 6 months now. There has been the occasional issue and their maintenance people have been out on the day or the day after and Julian who showed us the flat is always on the other end of the phone. I have been very satisfied with the service and have felt that the offering for me has been worth it. They have been very direct and trustworthy and this is why I recommend them.
