This agency is a disaster and a disgrace. They are completely disorganised and entirely unprofessional. They think Covid safety precautions are an inconvenience.

The service and knowledge I've got from Chestertons has been fantastic. Jack Burnett was my agent and he helped me throughout the process of renting the apartment I'm currently in. The viewing was fantastic (he didn't leave out any details), the questions I had about the location and agreement were brilliant, and the help provided during my move was great and replies were swift. This is my first apartment and I couldn't have asked for a better agent!

Unfortunately we had a very negative experience with this agency which meant we lost a property mid way through the process and meant we lost money on legal fees/ a lot of our time was wasted. Due to the lack of transparency by the agents the property we were trying to purchase didn't have the correct HTB funding available despite being advertised as such. The agents also seemed to know nothing about the HTB scheme. To make matters worse the director at the agency told us we would be able to continue with the purchase once this was sorted only to go and re-advertise the property, without telling us this was the case and we found out online. She then gave poor excuses as to why it was re-advertised which made absolutely no sense and we had to contact the developer directly to get our deposit back after it had been re-advertised which was also an awful experience. Really poor professionalism and transparency making it clear why people find it difficult to trust estate agents who always seem to have the developer or sellers interests.

Tried to book a viewing for Saturday and they weren't prepared to come in 15 min early to show me the house I wanted to see. Said it was out of their cantracted time. So I couldn't view the house. Not quite the agency for me then if 15 min early is too much for them. I wanted to see Paxton Close. So looks like this landlord lost a viewing and I'm sure loads of others have too due to this.

We were extremely happy to purchase our dream house through Halletts in Kew. Giles was a pleasure to deal with, very straightforward and not at all like a lot of agents we had come across before. The whole experience was very smooth and we cannot recommend him enough.
