I dealt with Will at the Islington branch who was excellent on our property search, finding us exactly what suited us and taking on board our feedback after each viewing. Having had such a negative experience of Estate Agents in the past, meeting Muhammad was a breath of fresh air. I am in the process of renting an apartment from PG Estates. We have agreed on everything about 7 weeks ago and since then I have still not received any signed contract! The moving date is supposed to be next week! I have sent them numerous emails to ask about any updates. On some of them they reassured me that everything is going well (but they took no action), on some others they just didn't reply. It's the worst renting experience I ever had so far in London. It's so stressful. I literally don't know if I will have a home next week - while I had an agreement 7 weeks ago. If it wasn't for the other reviews I would certainly think that this is a scam. Now I just hope to get over with everything.

We rented a property in Victoria Chambers with them and I wouldn’t recommend at all. There was a major leak in the flat and it wasn’t repaired until we gave our leaving notice, 6 months after it happened. There was also a mice problem that wasn’t solved either, plus other smaller leaks, mould... Their communication and engagement with the tenant leaves very much to be desired, and no one in the team really cared.

I cannot speak highly enough of the team I dealt with, selling my Islington house. Katherine and her team were outstanding. After less good experiences elsewhere, Katherine was a breath of fresh air from start to completion. She has a great understanding of the market and was always quick to respond by phone and email. The sale process was dealt with by the exceptional Clair. Clair is brilliantly direct and her experience meant that she smoothed bumps, spun plates and pushed the sale through as quickly and efficiently as possible. Katherine and Clair are the best - giving estate agents a good name is rare.

I've just moved into a beautiful new flat in Islington where the viewing/offer process was managed by Connor and Stephanie. Was disappointed today to see one of your staff on a cigarette break (just round the corner on Theberton Street around 11.30 this morning) chuck his cigarette on the ground while standing right next to a bin and walk back inside. Just left it smoldering on the ground! Would be great if those renting premises on our high street showed some respect for the local residents.

Hamptons sold my flat and I was delighted with their service. I mainly dealt with Nyan who did a brilliant job of helping with solicitor queries and keeping me updated.

I am sharing my experience as tenant in Highbury through Carlton. We dealt with Ally Grist (who should apply for the award of the worst and inhuman estate agent in London). In the past 10 years in London, this was by far the most horrendous experience I had with an estate agent. Firstly, My wife and I had issues with the boiler which was making horrible noise all the day and nigh. Carlton never managed to fix after dozens of visits from their selected plumbers. The obvious solution was to replace the boiler which Carlton (and the landlord) refused until Islington Environmental Health Services instructed them to do so. More importantly, we have had without any notice scaffolding erected in the front and the private garden of our flat. We raised our concerns on the breach of privacy with Carlton and our landlords. They both responded that this is common practice and the landlord has the right to do so without providing any notice to us. As our tenancy agreement was due in 2 months, Carlton asked us if we would like to extend which we accepted with few minor conditions (provide a blind to our bedroom windows for privacy issues as the workers were in the back garden). To our surprise, the landlord responded that he wants to repossess his property. This was a revenge eviction. My wife was 4 month pregnant at that time. We raised our concerns to Tim Carlton who never responded to any of our multiple emails. He showed how a great leader was. We had to contact the Islington council again. The council confirmed multiple breaches from Carlton and the landlord. They were both sent a letter stating these breaches. Ally was very aggressive throughout this period and threatened us repeatedly. As our priority back then was my wife and baby health we decided not to pursue any legal actions against Carlton and the landlord. We were victims of revenge eviction which was confirmed when the flat was back in the market few weeks after we left. We were good tenants, we never missed a payment, we never complained, we built good relationships with our neighbours. I had rented via excellent estate agents in the past and had wonderful landlords.

I had a terrible experience with Founder of London, please try your best to avoid unprofessional agent behaviour. The agent I was dealing with was rude, bad at communication and very judgemental. I tried to arrange viewing for two of the properties they represent, I had to call multiple time to chase up the agent in the beginning. And then he start lecturing me on how I should talk to my flatmates and hang up on me. I felt judged and look down at from the agent, especially when he keep asking when I am from while I have a Asian background. It was upsetting to have someone treat you like this while expecting a professional service to look for a place to move

Founders of London are a very professional, efficient and collaborative agency. Me and my co-tenant have been renting a flat rented and managed by Founders of London for a little longer than 2 years. During our tenancy we have not experienced any inconvenience caused by the agency and whenever we needed something with regards to the flat, the agency was proactive and helpful. More importantly, we did not feel as if the agency was acting in favor of the landlord with no protection and/or understanding towards the tenant's needs (an issue I have experienced before), and we felt well supported throughout our tenancy. We did use clauses during our tenancy (change of tenant etc.) and there were no hidden costs or any inconvenience, but the process was rather smooth and efficient. All in all, we have been treated well by the agency and we can only give a positive feedback.

Founders of London have been letting and managing my flats in the past five years. They have been very efficient in communications and prompt in payment of the collected rent. Also staff are always friendly and professional. I strongly recommend them.

My flatmates and I are students currently renting a property through Elis and Co. We have been nothing but respectful to the lettings agents, but have found that the treatment we are receiving to be extremely disappointing. Hopefully this is due to the fact we are students and they do not treat all client this way. They advertised the property to be “premium”, however apart from the price, we have found it to be nothing short but sub-par, from the utlilties to the service provided by the agency. If there are any students looking to rent an apartment through Elis and Co, I would strongly advise against it.

Horrible agency - They will make make you stay home the whole day waiting for them and won’t show up without any warning. The property manager has been helpful with promptly replies. However, the some members lettings team are not professional.

(EDIT) The managing director called me to apologise for the miscommunication. He explained what went wrong and why. He was eager to solve the problem. Hopefully, things will progress better from here. Absolute joke of an estate agent. Called them to enquire about a possible house viewing. They say they will get call me back. Left my number for them several times but still no call back. Used their online forms. Nothing. Used their chat bot to log in details nothing. They said they have no idea what's going on with the property if it was under offer or not.

I found my interactions with Ellis and Co, especially Surme to be outstanding. They often go over and above what anyone else might expect. If you are looking to move to Islington, I can reccommend you to contact them.
