I have rented a flat through Barbara Gibson Properties for just over 5 years. All I can say is I hope my new lettings agent will be able to live up to the same superb standards. Considering quite a number of lettings agents have a bad reputation, I thank my lucky stars that I had one of the good ones. Utterly professional, reliable and responsive, cannot recommend them enough.

They found me my first tenant, who stayed for a couple of years and left the flat in an impeccable condition and then another tenant very swiftly. I would recommend them to anyone in the area.

After seeing a property advertised having a private garden, is such a waste of time to realise that the garden is shared with other tenants. Just be honest!

I was a tenant for a year and a half in one of the flats they rented out. Everything started out good the first few months. We requested new appliances as they were not working correctly and they were promptly replaced. Certain issues were fixed promptly. After awhile I was consistently chasing via email and phone to get repairs done (our flat consistently had issues). There were a few instances where I was also not notified when the repair men were coming and was scared to death (thought someone had broken into the flat) as I was home alone in many instances and both flatmates were at work. The scariest part was no action was taken when we found out the ground level flat were renting their flat on Airbnb illegally. Normally I would let something like this slide but this consistently posed a security issue as the guests would leave the door open to the street (WE LIVED ON THE HIGH STREET) and we had packages etc stolen as well. Major sewage issues in the whole building, nothing was ever done to fix it. Lastly when the pandemic happened I had issues getting ahold of the agency by email, which was an issue as I was stuck halfway across the world. Also had to chase to get my deposit back at the end of the contract. Long story short if you’re renting, you’re probably best renting privately or from another agency.

Lived on one of their flats for 2 years and everything went smoothly. Always polite and helpful. All issues were solved quickly and without fuss. Only moved because I will be living with family now. Highly recommended
