I am so impressed with Simon and his team for the excellent service and their great perseverance in staying the course with all the obstacles we faced with this sale.

We moved our business to Foxtons Crystal Palace having met the sales team whilst looking for a property and having had a poor experience with the first estate agent that we had appointed. We worked with Simon Darvill and Carley Rust-Williams and they were always contactable and made time to speak with you. The communication from Foxtons was excellent, regularly updating us on progress with the flat sale. The Foxtons portal was also very helpful to monitor viewing bookings and feedback from viewings.

I couldn’t recommend Jess Goffe enough - such a helpful, knowledgable and friendly person. Went to view two properties the other day, the second being one that I hadn’t picked, but actually was spot on with what I was looking for. Unfortunately I had a property viewing the next day with another agent (which pipped the post in terms of making an offer) - but Jess has been so great and called me and congratulated me on finding a property.

I had a brilliant experience working with Jack Richards and Tom Pedrotti at the Crystal Palace offices. Jack was super supportive gave me a list of properties to view extremely detailed. The first property matched all my specifcations so well I put in an offer right away. When my offer was accepted Tom was extremely reliable. Recommended a solicitor when I was having trouble getting hold of my own. Tom made it easy to work with him, kept me more informed than my solicitors! When process were taking to long he would chase people up for me. Even when to the sellers home to help her fill some forms to speed up the process. I have had nothing but support and excellent service and would be recommending the service to all my friends and family.

Sold a property through Simon Darvill recently and was very impressed with the service. They delivered a large number of viewings and an asking price offer in a very quick timeframe. More than justified their fee.

Extremely unhelpful, rude and borderline discriminatory. At the start of the year I was looking for a rental property from £1700-£1800 in Crystal Palace, a saving on the £1900 I had being paying for years prior to this. I enquired after a viewing for a property at the lower end of this - I wasn't even permitted a viewing. As a single mum, I receive benefits, and as soon as I mentioned this I was told I wouldn't be able to view or apply for the property. After I questioned why, I was informed I wouldn't pass referencing - despite doing so for the £1900 property I resided in and the subsequent £1750 property I decided to rent elsewhere. When I asked if there was nothing I could do, as this would mean I wouldn't be able to rent any property from Pedder, I was told that unless I lowered my budget (which wouldn't find me a nice 2-bed with a garden under this) there was nothing I could do. I found this discriminatory, this essentially penalised me for being a single mother on benefits, despite my income from my wage being over the monthly rent. After talking to subsequent agents, they were horrified to hear that this happened and were very empathetic; working with me to find and secure a property - happily passing referencing. (It is illegal to not permit tenants who are in receipt of benefits.)

Interesting options for places to buy.

Izabella was fantastic! Absolutely brilliant service from start to finish showing me round properties that fit the bill perfectly and helping me get the one I wanted over the line (not the easiest thing to have done given the circumstances). She put up with my rants, my demands and my indecision at times. She was efficient, responsive, fair, kind, just the right amount of no-nonsense and ALWAYS smiley. Highly recommend.

Told us they would not rent a property to a family with a stay at home dad despite the mother being in full time permanent employment. I wonder if this would be the the case if the child's carer was the mother?

Very unresponsive group for an agency that seems to be trading on some sort of "slick upper class" image. Called three times without a single person picking up the phone. When I finally got hold of someone, I was treated like some second-class citizen, unworthy of their time, or of even seeing the rather simple properties they had on offer. These aren't penthouses, these are normal homes - but apparently not for the likes of people like me. Poor communication, rubbish treatment. I suggest avoiding Nicholas Ashley, particularly when there are so many other competitive estate agents who will give you the kind of time and effort that will actually justify the fees they will eventually demand.
