When I first viewed the property I wanted to rent, I had seen reviews that Ash and Becky made a great team. I am pleased to confirm this is definitely true. Ash and Becky assisted me with my upcoming move in to my new studio flat and were both very helpful. Communication is very important to me, especially as a first time renter, and I was impressed with how well informed I was kept at each stage of the process, from viewing the property with Ash and putting an offer in, to completing the paperwork and formalities with Becky. Both done an excellent job at reassuring me everything would go smoothly and it did. Any issues I had I would message or email them and I would receive a prompt response. If you're looking to rent a property in the Ilford/Redbridge area I would recommend Charlesons for a polite and professional experience from start to finish. I hope I don't many queries or issues once I move in but if I do I know Ash and Becky will be on hand to help and resolve any matter quickly and effectively.

I used Charlesons to find a tenant for my flat in Aug 20. I was happy with the professionalism and most importantly how they kept me informed throughout the entire process. Ash was in constant contact with me discussing all the options available and he made the process very straight forward. I was most impressed with how efficiently they let out my property whilst dealing with the pandemic. Highly recommend them and will defiantly use them again in the future!

Customer service is awful. I got confirmation by email as attached copy to view the property. I was just on the way to view the property, I received call from office just 10 - 15 min before, they said we don't have keys.When i mentioned i received confirmation email, the guy said, THESE KIND OF EMAIL WE SEND TO EVERYBODY. Such a time WASTERS. I have seen this kind of SERVICE for the first time. Very disappointed.

POOR CUSTOMER INTERACTION I rented a house through Better Lettings and it had all possible problems in 1 single house, including water leakage through every wall in the house, Black mold and worst maintenance of property. When complained about this, the best suggestion that we got was to open all windows and doors during Winters to avoid this, and alongside were told to wipe all walls in the house instead of fixing the ventilation. This created health problems, because of which we HAD to vacate the property. Finally, when you are vacating the property, they reduced this from our deposit, and also for getting essential services to the house. When they were supposed to pay the deducted deposit money back to us they gave lame excuses that "HAMZA" the point of contact is unavailable/busy every time we tried to call up and talk. When we tried to escalate this, they threatened to deduct more money in this difficult period of time. Our calls were ignored and was given rude answers when asked to return deposit money. This happened for over 3-4 weeks. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER DON'T EVER RENT A PROPERTY THROUGH BETTER LETTINGS, IT IS A NIGHTMARE TO INTERACT WITH HAMZA AND ALI. WORST SERVICE EVER !! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS TO ANYONE.

Better Lettings is a conned company. They managed my property. But they had caused me so much distress. I would warn you to avoid this company. They first lied to me that for the guaranteed rent scheme I could choose non council tenants. They then rented to a council family without me knowing. The tenants then caused issues. I requested Better Lettings to evict the tenants. They avoided contacting me, taking excuses that Hamza the contract manager was unavailable. It has been a couple of months and Hamza still not contacted me. When contacting the office, they again promised to get Hamza to contact me. No sign of Hamza. When I escalated the issues to the council housing office, the council said they do not have direct contract with me so basically not take any action against the tenants for wrong doings. From my experience, avoid council tenants and avoid the rent guaranteed scheme. Because the contract is not directly with council or with the tenants you are at the mercy of the letting agents who they choose to let your property to. Those council tenants are like parasites. they know once the council accept homelessness duty towards them, they are guaranteed to get accommodation. They don't take care of your property. They do not behave reasonably. If they get evicted, the council will get them another property. The system is so broken. I now have to take the matter into my own hands to evict the tenants.

Writing this on behalf of a friend who was too traumatised & scared to write this herself. After she was moved into a very poor maintained flat which has water & electric problems also mould around windows to which are not sealed into property so they just leak water in & out there's also mice running freely around the flat. ( I have seen & have photo evidence) She has a child which lives with her. On calling the letting agency for help which she is legally legally entitled to she got verbally abused by the staff & was racially discriminated against. THIS LETTING AGENCY IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE & RACIST I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO NEVER USE THIS COMPLETE JOKE OF A LETTING AGENT.

Spencer Curtis deducted my deposit claiming it's for deep cleaning and he refused to show the evidence of the dirt . Their buildings are old and mould infested. Ther are health hazard.

Rudeness, lies and a waste of time. At the viewing no one showed up, they informed that the apartment was already let. This service cannot be recommended.

Avoid this cowboy firm! They are happy to let people live in properties that are death traps. They also put convicted slumlords above tenants health and safety.

Absolute waste of time. This company came to my property that was ready to be marketed for rent and I never managed to contact them again. My phone calls were ignored, no callbacks were made and the whole process was hugely unprofessional. They obviously don't need the business. Landlords beware!!!

Very friendly always willing to assist. Pleasure doing business with. (Ayyub (Manager) viewed my house before the renovation was finished and brought prospective tenants round the following weekend. They were all referenced and ready to move in as soon as the house was ready only 3 weeks later so no need for marketing on this occasion - very impressed).
