3 letting agents in Finsbury

Extremely poor estate agents when it comes to letting atleast... Really liked the look of a property a week ago called up and said I'd like to offer but was told we have to view first... Booked viewing... Viewing canceled as offer received from a viewer (fair enough)... Now another property we fell in love with came up yesterday, made viewing straight away and upon viewing end (same day) offered asking price again (said we'd go higher if needed) and got told they have to allow others to view before making decision!? Then get told at 5pm the property has been agreed to rent by another viewer even though I was the first to offer full price..

Just browsing their site looking to move. Which is hard to do when you have no one to act as a guarantor and on universal credit, not working and awaiting for an operation...! So exploring all estate agents that may be of use.

Shepherds were great throughout the whole process of selling our house. We could always get hold of somebody when we needed to, and as they are a small close-knit team they always knew what was going on with our sale - definitely no bouncing around different agents every time you ring! Thoroughly excellent, friendly and professional service all round, and the staff were extremely helpful with extra requests - verifying ID, witnessing documents etc. Would absolutely recommend to anybody.

,Brilliant service. Nine years ago we needed a quick move. i used Shepherds. They were brilliant and ensured a stressful move went through with ease in good time. Their experience and sensible approach impressed me. When time came to move again I called Shepherds. I didn't get any other quote. Why would I ? They had done a brilliant job last time. I knew the staff were the same, as I saw them round the town and they always said hello. They are Hertford people who love and know Hertford. Every single viewing i got feedback for. The office staff were always helpful and the people arranging viewings always considerate . They all did a brilliant job on both my house sales 2012 and 2021. Highly recommended.

We felt our sale was dealt with very well. It was set up promptly, we were kept well informed and we were given good advice. They were helpful, without being pushy. We had had valuations of the property done with Shepherds a couple of times over the previous few years and they didn't hassle us for a sale at all. The staff in the Hertford site were friendly, efficient and did what they said they would. There was only one oversight made on the house plan, but this was corrected immediately with apologies. They were diligent with checking progress of the sale with us, our buyers and both solicitors, and answered queries promptly. We are happy with how Shepherds managed our sale, and would be confident to use them again in the future.

Absolutely terrible - I can only imagine that the good reviews on here are fake. 2 of the estate agents (I think was one was called Zara) were lovely and very helpful/professional to be fair, but the head guy (forgotten his name) was ridiculously rude. Repeatedly told us "you're new to renting, you don't know how it works", "you're lucky I'm patient, no one else would put up with this" and "you're such rude girls" - we were 24 year old masters students at UCL/ one of us was working in The City, and we'd been renting in London for 5/6 years and never had a single problem with any landlords or estate agents asides from Carter Reeves. Truly incompetent

Absolutely awful experience with carter reeves. They were supposed to be managing a flat we rented and they did so appallingly. Terrible phone manner and multiple calls to the office for months never resolved issues we had (broken furniture, bills they were supposed to pay that were included in our rental contract that we ended up having to pay for).

my experience with carter reeves was absolutely brilliant! there was a wide range of properties to choose from with wonderful kind staff to help... The person who took me to the viewings of properties and 1 to 1 helped me was Jay , he sent me videos of the properties being renovated and done up. I would definitely recommend this agent. as i had no problems with this agent.
