Nice to know my landlords happy with this agency while his tenant is not. Where to begin... *deep breath* RightMove and Portico listed the rent as different amounts, only varying by £5, fine. Once I was offered the property over the phone the price increased again by £5 p/m - false advertising weird. Portico then expected me to pay the full works (rather than the holding deposit) before SEEING let alone SIGNING a contract. They went on to tell me this is ‘normal’ and it’s a ‘standard agreement’ despite their website saying the polar opposite. Raising this then meant I had to wait for this to be relayed to HR to ‘see what they could do’. With 2 weeks ahead of my move-in Portico asked me to move in a day early, granted. That would have been a reasonable request if my boiler wasn’t broken for three days and the intercom actually worked. All of which should have been picked up on while carrying out the ‘Check In’ document. Beyond that, the property was advertised as furnished but no furniture was ever seen until hours AFTER I had moved in which, surprise surprise turned out to be unsuitable. I had been vocal throughout and asked to see furniture on MULTIPLE occasions, each time the goalpost was moved. Day before my move I was told to collect keys five hours after the original set time ONLY because I was following up on furniture for the umpteenth time. There was no regard for my arrangements whatsoever and I was treated like an afterthought rather than a tenant . Lewis, the agent that had shown me the property had told me this landlord had many properties so I could not understand why I couldn’t be shown furnishings from archive. Following all of these issues on a bank holiday might I add, I emailed the agent and the reply was literally a one liner, utter apathy. Days later, I visited the branch to discuss this all with the Manager Rash, also a waste of time. He seems to be as effective as a bobblehead. I've been waiting on a callback for a month and counting despite him agreeing and deeming it reasonable. I have not bombarded Ilford's office with calls or emails, I bypassed them to ensure Head Office were aware. Slow and selective responses were received. All of the furniture has been returned but they see no reason for the price to change down to their staffs negligence. They still stand by there being no actual remedy and there are still things left ignored. Only Lord knows who my Property Manager is now as I'm receiving emails from Walthamstow's branch despite being walking distance from Ilford's. All I simply ask is that people do their job and deliver services they claim to be capable of. Pathetic and unaccountable company, they make Complete Prime Limited look like saints. Advice: Be vigilant as my contract nor check-in listed the property as “furnished”. Credit to the Landlords handyman Tony, who is AMAZING and the only reason for the star (because 0 isn't an option).

Christos helped us with our search for a flat to rent in October, 2020. He was very attentive and understood what we were looking for right away. He showed us several properties that were excellent matches for our search. He kept an eye on the market for us, giving us the first viewings on new properties. We ended up renting something else but I could not recommend him more. Finding a nice home to rent in London is always challenging and Christos made it a great experience for us. I will definitely work again with him and this company in the future.

Excellent from start to finish. Very good at initial valuation. Swift follow up and house very quickly on the market including all the internet platforms. Potential purchasers shown round and house sold within a week. Kept me up to date during the conveyancing process and always answered emails very quickly. Richard is an amazing hardworking and trustworthy agent. He was always friendly, reliable and extremely professional throughout helping us throughout our entire journey to sell our home. I used them as my agent in Margate for nearly 20 years. When Rosemary retired things started to deteriorate. Rent was going uncollected, repairs were being over charged for and i would have to beg to get money paid every month. I finally lost all patience with them when I authorised a fresh up of two flats which turned into 6k worth of work. When I inspected, the work was of low quality and some items had not been done. I changed agents and it was hell to get Regency to do a good handover. My new agent found out of date gas certificates and other missing paperwork. There is so much more. Regency used to be a really nice family run business but it is an really poorly run business now.

Best move I made only £200 total set up fee and did not get hit by extras unlike all the agents so well happy. The staff were great and explained all thoroughly and the welcome pack was informative and a nice touch as I have all the numbers of who to call in an emergency as well as having an issue with my boiler and Neil came out after 9pm on a Friday to sort it out for me .. Well done guys.

Updated, See below for the original review which still stands, but a bit more info. as I was really interested in the property, so I thought I'd give them one more chance after a huge amount of calling up and bothering managed to arrange a viewing ( embarrassingly they were unable to provide any measurements of rooms so I ended up having to bring my own tape measure). Generally a bit of a shambles (which is not surprising given everything else) but the big thing I want to highlight in this review is they gave me false information as a potential customer claiming over the phone a house on the same street had sold for £50,000 more than it had (I checked) clearly trying to dishonestly inflate the value of the property they were selling.When I brought this up they just brushed it aside. *original review* I called up Chisti, two weeks before an advertised open house, I spoke to an agent who at first seemed professional polite and capable. He told me he would send details within a couple of days. however I heard nothing, in this time I was able to book and view multiple homes with no difficulty with other agents. In the days leading up to the open house date I called up the agent again and was promised repeatedly information would be sent there was still no sign. I called up on the day and was promised they would get back to be within 10 minutes nothing happened. Finally I waited outside the property at the scheduled time (arrived 15 mins early to be on the safe side) until 10 minutes after the open house was meant to start the agent didn't show up. Every attempt to call them up after the initial call (excluding the two points with a phone system failed and didn't connect me) I was met by agents on the other end of the phone who knew nothing about the property they were meant to be selling and were generally extremely unhelpful. The sad thing is the property looks really good and just the sort of thing that I was looking for so I suspect there's a fairly high chance they cost their client a sale. as someone in the middle of selling a property myself I really felt for the poor client who presumably thinks no one is interested in the house the trying to sell as Chisti can't arrange a simple open house. ultimately this only cost me a few hours of my time while I suspect this level of service is costing their client tens of thousands of pounds in not getting the best value for there property. After my experience I tried to contact them and make a formal complaint but again they were unclear and unhelpful This has been such a negative experience I probably wouldn't contact someone who was advertising through Chisti's as I was feel really morally conflicted about any of my money paying for one of their fees.
