I have been renting with Dexters for the past 5 years. I've been very fortunate to have a number of awesome people looking after me for the past 5 years. I'm moving out and have been supported by Liz A, Autumn B and Julien T. All have been super flexible, very personable and very safe in helping me organise my transition. In particular they've gone above and beyond to help me sort an end of tenancy clean, solving issues with lost keys and generally accommodating new viewings around my schedule. As a tenant, I feel put first, which is a new feeling in my 15 years of renting in London.

We had a long road to travel. Our flat was a leasehold and the mansion block was going through a change in management companies. The new management company was desperately needed as the old one left the building with a list of repairs and maintenance. The flat is lovely but getting through all that was a longer slog than one normally goes through. Hannah sold our flat and was simply the best. She was responsive and always there for questions and queries from the us as well as the buyers. She orchestrated the process of offer to exchange to complete like a maestro. Also, it should be noted that we did have to make some adjustments to our asking price at the advice of Oliver the sales manager and it was exactly what was required to get the right buyers across our threshold. A great team all around and you will be in good hands.

Probably one of our best experiences with estate agents we have had in London. Everything has been so smooth, and everyone we have communicated with has been professional, super speedy and friendly without being overbearing. Over the span of two years and across many different issues with our flat, Robin and Chris were consistently highly responsive and delivered a high value of service to us as tenants. Definitely avoid. This is the worst agency I've ever had to deal with. Took me months and months to move in - the person initially dealing with it was fired and the replacement was not much more efficient. Lots of miscommunication and misunderstandings. The tenancy ended in December, it's now February and I'm still waiting to get my deposit back. Yes there were delays in December from moving out dates, COVID and Xmas, but it has still taken an unacceptable amount of time. The release was instructed weeks ago and surprise surprise no money has been received into our accounts. I know that even the staff are aware that they've been useless as the latest emails even included instructions on how to file a formal complaint. I won't waste my time complaining again as I already did and the escalation did not help at all. Best is just to avoid - M&P have proved themselves to be unreliable and pretty incompetent.

Very bad experience with this agency. Me and my housemate had a viewing booked at 12pm and 9 minutes earlier I received a mail that has been cancelled since the property is gone. Of course we were already travelling there at that time. Result, we spent a part of our day off taken on purpose for house viewings and money on transports for nothing.

We rented a flat with them. They were calling us several times per day until we made the payment. Once we paid, they did not respond to our calls or emails, asking for questions about the flat, such as where and when to get the keys. The only emails that we received from them was to make sure that we had set up the standing order and to leave them a good review (here it is). We went to the flat during the check-in, which was made by an independent company. The guy of this company was the one who gave us the keys. There was no one of the agency the first day when we moved. The flat was dusty and dirty. The toilette was clearly not cleaned, we found some nails (finger nails) in a drawer in the room, some drawers were broken... There were several details about their management that show their irresponsibility and a lack of professionalism by them. In our view, they only take care of making sure that we pay and then they do not care about their clients. TRY TO AVOID.

Had a very positive experience using Marsh and Parsons to help me find a flat to rent in Clapham South. The agent I dealt with, Rupert, was clearly very knowledgeable about the local area and the current rental market, while always being very responsive to any questions and incredibly easy to deal with. He was very quick to find me a great flat in my price range in the perfect area, and made the process of agreeing and signing the tenancy incredibly straightforward and painless.

I have been using Marsh & Parsons to let my flat in Clapham South for over 10 years, and have been very happy with the service. They are very reliable & find good tenants quickly. I have dealt with many staff members over the years, to be expected, I suppose. Rupert from Clapham South & Emma most recently. Both very helpful in sorting out issues for the tenants and coming up with helpful solutions on new lets!

Lived in the house for seven years. Never fixed the front door. Big cracks in it. Easy fixes are their way. So had a problem with the shower. Just kept changing the head of the shower. I have been out of the property and the are refusing to release the deposit of final bills. Even though I have produced all the documents that I have. Have produced the final bills but still not good enough. I asked if any bills had be sent to the house. They said no.syill I need to prove all bills are canceled

Something dodgy about the way they work. Based on the negative reviews I was careful in dealing with Walker Wyatt. I booked a viewing for a property in Balham and the agent show up on time. He couldn't answer some of my basic questions like: why there is a gas radiator and electric radiator in the same room? Is there a parking permit? He didn't know because they usually work in Tooting area not Balham. I can also look things up myself like energy rating! Anyway, I placed an offer after reviewing the property and didn't hear back from him so I searched for their number and called - they don't use phone numbers in their emails and their website is under construction. You need to Google them. In my offer email and over a phone, I asked for the drafted tenant agreement to understand how far the contract is in favour of the landlord (based on other people valuable reviews). I wanted to check if there are any restrictions that I won't be able to live with etc.. they refused to send me a copy before paying a holding deposit which I will lose if I don't agree to any of their terms that I haven't seen yet - well, that's not going to work for me because I worked hard for this money to throw it away. All other agents were by far more responsive and aiming to get things done and were way more transparent. From my experience, Walker Wyatt was not interested or may be prefer to take their time in doing things. As a tenant, you are not leasing a property for a short term and you need the peace of mind and assurances same as the agents and landlords who will be doing all these checks and access your finances to ensure that you can afford paying and being a reliable person. You are not allowed to check them (except by reading reviews like this and asktenants website) until you are trapped into their dodgy process. I would be very careful before paying them any money (they usually manage the properties they lease) ensure that there is at least a term that gives you the right to repair faults if they don't resolve it for you within an agreed timeframe at the landlord's cost. After of course obtaining 3 competitive quotes. As a landlord: try finding another letting agency. You might pay slightly more but you will get tenants who won't be feeling forced or scammed into the lease process. On a separate note, I tried to avoid all the poor reviews and give them a chance because I liked the location of the property I saw. Although I paid a holding deposit for another property (sent them a proof or remittance to show that I'm serious) and I told them that I'm welling to lose the holding deposit and go for that flat they are trying to let if they were transparent with me and show me a draft of any document that they will need me to sign during their process. The response (2nd day) was that they are transparent and don't like the tone of my email and it's better not to work with each other. My email was honest, friendly and straightforward and I was asking to be treated the same.

Coffee shops abound in all parts of the world and Tooting Bec is no exception but Walker Wyatt, on exiting Tooting Bec tube station, is worthy of a gold star for the uality of its coffee. The few seats outside can ocassionally host a few rum people and don't be surprised to hear the loud wailing of police and ambulances.

Agreed to return my deposit in full, now have waited more than 2 months for it with them arguing that the forwarding adress on the bills I provided is not correct. Never seen another landlord act like this - bizarre behaviour. Probably illegal for them to withold a deposit for this reason, now disputing with the deposit protection people.
