14 letting agents in Clapham

It's been sometime now, so I am editing this review. Unfortunately I had to rent via Dexters Clapham High Street. The people I interacted with were Alysha, Sanjay, Gary and Leo. Some important points: - They lied about the state of the place that would be delivered to me before moving in. - They gave the keys to a 3rd person that visited the flat when all the tenants of the house were away and without notifying me, even when the contract states so. They only replied when I confronted them about finding stuff moved etc. and they had nothing to say. - They said the rent was left unpaid and when bank statements proved them wrong they stopped replying. - They didn't reply to emails for months, even when it's urgent. - At the end of the tenancy they didn't return my deposit and even lied by saying I left sooner than the contract's end. It was a joke and when I proved them wrong, they said they gave my deposit to someone else admitting it was their bad. When they were not returning the deposit, I followed legal advice and through TDS I easily claimed all the deposit back. As a tenant, I was disgusted by their overall behaviour. My only advice to future people renting via this office is DO NOT!

Dunica was super helpful and friendly. She showed us 5 properties and broke down the details of all of them really clearly. She had all the answers to our questions and helped us secure the flat we wanted, guiding us through the paperwork and offering her support. Would definitely recommend!

Very good experience with Dexters so far. Danica has been extremely helpful both with finding our flat and assisting us with the paperwork. Very easy to get hold off and is in regular contact, Danica has made what we originally thought would be a complex situation relatively simple.

Had a pleasurable experience with the agent Georgia who was prompt, informative and diligent. The tour and guide was fit to description and although the property was not to my liking, the viewing experience and process was. Thank you Georgia and Portico.

During our search we met a number of letting agents. Most were awful which made Ivett from the Clapham office stand out even more. Though we chose a different property I would have no qualms in recommending her to any prospective renters.

Although I could write an extensive review on my experience with Portico, as a buyer, I'd rather anyone reading this review to know the following. If it wasn't for the Portico team, that is, Steve, Georgia, Jack, and likely others in the background, I'm 100% confident I would have lost the property. I honestly think they went above and beyond what I'd typically expect from an estate agency. I most definitely would not hesitate to use Portico services in the future or recommend them to anyone looking to buy, or sell, their property.

Very happy with the speed of the move in from viewing. The property is everything I wanted, the agent Flora was always helpful, kind, informative and very professional. Would recommend her to my friends.

I’ve had a great experience using Hamptons, completely different to other estate agents. Oliver Brooks helped me find my apartment within 2 weeks when I was moving out on my own in a pandemic. Cameron, Will and the team were great when selling our house. Although there was lots of interest, it took quite a while - however they remained enaged, persistent and positive, ensuring that every lead was followed up and we were kept up to date on what was going on. They also produced a beautiful set of photos at the outset which must have helped too!

We worked with Ferdinand to find our new home and he was amazing throughout the process. We were very fixed on what we wanted and the location etc, Ferdinand listened to our requests and fully took them on board. Ferdinand was patient in our search and every property he showed us was better and more tailored to our ask and then we found our perfect property! Even before seeing the property that we ended up purchasing, Ferdinand ensured me that we would love it and he felt genuinely excited for us. Post purchase, Ferdinand was involved in all communication with his various colleagues to ensure a smooth move in etc. I would also highly rate all of the post-sale team that we came in contact with at JP.

JP Homes were a star to deal with! Toby Gardiner was friendly, responsive and professional throughout. Easily the best estate agent I've ever dealt with. He walked both myself and my house mate through the process, checked on us throughout and ensure everything was done at our pace. I would highly recommend JP Homes (Clapham) and Toby to anyone and everyone!

We would highly recommend Ed Dennett from James Pendleton who helped us with a recent house purchase. He gave us valuable insight into the area. Ed had taken the time to know what we were looking for and found us the perfect house. He was always available and quick to reply to any queries. Ferdinand is without doubt the best agent I have ever had the pleasure of working with. After seeing numerous properties with him he truly understood our requirements and found somewhere that we have recently completed on. It never felt as if he was trying to upsell us. I would recommend his services to anyone and look forward to having a beer with him at some point in the future.

We had a very positive experience while purchasing our first house with James Pendleton. Our primary point of contact was Ferdinand. He has been always readily available and helped us with all we needed. He was also helpful on getting our offer accepted. In short great service throughout with great communication and availability. This resulted in a smooth completion and in quite a short time!

If I could give less than 1* I would. Keatings demonstrated a complete lack of professionalism and integrity throughout the entire tenancy, a level previously reserved for the current incumbent of Downing Street. They are a stereotypical estate agent, where the rights and interests of the tenant are a mere inconvenience in their daily operations. It is not a stretch to imagine that they start off each working day reciting Money Money Money by ABBA, such was their desire to drain as much money from their tenants as possible. Avoid like the plague, which is ironic because I would rather have the plague than deal with Keatings again.

This estate agency is extremely poor - refusing viewings on the basis they're 'so busy' and being extremely condescending on the phone to my partner. I would love to know if the clients they are selling flats for know that they're refusing viewings to potential buyers. Will not go near a flat being marketed by this lot going forward!

Dwayne, David and all the folks at Keating Estates have been beyond superb. Incredibly friendly, helpful and hardworking my partner and I were able to feel safe in their hands knowing that they were going to get us the perfect tenants to let out our loved and cherished home all the while keeping us informed every step of the way. Friendly staff, good selection of properties but still looking

We have really appreciated how professional and swift Emma Proctor and her team at Marsh & Parsons have been in getting our flat let. Within hours of the flat being advertised, they were showing potential tenants around. They kept us informed throughout the letting process, even during COVID lockdown, and dealt with all the detail of cleaning, inventory and occupation with consummate efficiency. My flat was sold to the first viewer and I thought the estate agent lucked out and went home to count his fee. However, after ten months of hand-holding and UN-levels of tactful negotiation, I finally realised that the estate agent keeps the wheels on the deal, while two hopelessly lost souls try to muddle through a sale while being ambushed with the strangest grenades along the way. After a rollercoaster ride, lasting nearly 5 months, we finally completed on the sale of our former property & the purchase of our new dream home thanks entirely to Charlie.
