I could not recommend H&G more highly. I had been told about them by two friends who'd had good experiences with them and I can now see why for myself! Probate Sale I would highly recommend Horton and Garton. They were professional throughout, efficient and friendly. I dealt with Phil , Louise and lastly with Martin as the sale of the property was quite challenging at times. However, H & G kept going and were enthusiastic and committed to the end. All the agents kept me well informed and updated at all times which was a positive sign of their commitment and was very re-assuring as I live in Sussex so am not local to the property. I think the team are positive proof that an independent Estate Agent gives a far more personal service and I rate H & G services highly.

wish i read the reviews earlier. the most useless agency i had the misfortune of using. Couldn't care less after you sign the contract. And now that we're not extending it they're hassling us about viewings a whole month early. 2nd time in 2days now. Will got out of my way to avoid Fo*tons in the future.

Hard avoid. Absolutely awful experience. Just to list what they did: -illegally entered the flat without our permission to show new tenants around. -lied to our landlord about new prospective tenants moving in, when it fell through they pressured us to move out earlier, making it look like we were trying to break the contract to our landlord. -tried sneaking in extra costs, that amounted to them double dipping on rent commission by having the new tenants and us paying at the same time, again, without telling the landlord -awful communication, rarely spoke to the same person and even in office didn’t want to speak face to face. Problems were only resolved by higher level management as the low level grunts only care about their money and can’t actually do anything helpful for you. Used covid as an excuse, but that’s pretty tenuous seeing as EVERYBODY is in that situation. Use Dexters instead.

It's been more than a year now that Foxtons has not been able to solve our balcony door problem. We spent the winter season with an open balcony door. Their engineers come with temporary solutions and then the door gets broken again and again. We now asked to our council to come and investigate the problem because we are done with Foxtons' arrogant and insufficient attitude. They just care about you until they make you sign the contract. Poor and amateur service.

I was selling my shared ownership flat and was recommended Dawn and Townsend by a friend. It really was the best decision as the sale ended up being quite complicated linking in with all involved. I didn’t feel like I was working with a big estate agent company, more that it was a local business. They took time to get to know my development and helped prepare the flat for the sale. Throughout Dawn and Aggie were professional, hard working and responsive- at one point I think we were speaking nearly every day. They were also so supportive, taking time to explain processes and linking in with both solicitors helping to nudge them in the right direction (to put it mildly). We are very pleased with how Townends have handled the sale of our Chiswick flat - they have been real stars. We considered several agents but chose them because their sales team, Dawn and Aggie, impressed us as genuine, honest and hard working people who knew the market and loved their jobs. Having used Winkworth to market our sale through the Covid crisis I would not hesitate to recommend their services to other owners. They have been very proactive and although the initial sale fell through due to a chain collapse, this did not deter them to find an alternative buyer within 2 months of re-marketing, in a difficult market. Let out dangerous properties: we had a glass panel smash in the bathroom out of the blue and gaslit us that we were making a big deal out of nothing. Also had no hot water for two weeks in their property, and won't let you know adequate contact details for landlords. Later had no hot water again. Would avoid at all costs, there's plenty of other agents in the area who appear to be much more professional.

Marina helped me complete the entire procedure quickly and even introduced me to a nice gardener! If you are a foreigner like me and don't understand the procedures at all, I definitely recommend you to work with them.

Best estate agent I've ever dealt with. Extremely knowledgeable about the local market and reassured us from the first meeting. Every viewing was well qualified and I never felt any were a waste of time, even though it took a few to find our buyer.
