When I started looking for a new home in London, I thought it would be a stressful experience, but it was completely the opposite, thanks to Ruby. From the beginning, she was very responsive and scheduled a viewing for the same day. The viewing was great, she knew everything about the property and the neighbourhood, but we weren't sure if it was the right property. She didn't give up on us, though and called us the next day to talk about other properties, and we did another viewing and made an offer. During the whole process, Ruby showed that she was passionate about helping tenants and landlords to find/rent the perfect home. She was very transparent, organised and you could see she knew everything and had the answers to any question. We have used Sonny (from Foxtons) to buy our first property. Sonny's service has been bespoke. He was there from the beginning to the end, helping us conclude the deal. It was a tricky situation because there were tenants in the flat that should have been inside until August. However, we needed them to leave before the end of June to benefit from the Stamp Duty holiday. Sonny, who was in contact with us but as well the sellers and the tenants, has helped us massively to reach to an agreement that was "win-win-win", in which all three parties were happy ! Always proactive, smart and smiling, we can now see why he is so successful. Before engaging in such a project, we did not think having a good Estate Agent by our side was necessary. We thought buying a flat was just a formal process, very standard with lots of paperwork. You cannot imagine how much of a difference it is making actually working with someone that knows what he is doing and that is working in your best interest. Sonny, you are our star my friend !

Chase Evans manage the property we rent, the level of customer service we received was ok up until the day we moved in. On moving day there was a complete lack of co-ordination and very little help from the staff working that day. The property wasn't cleaned before moving in (it's mid-covid, surely that's a minimum requirement) and when asking for help the "office manager" began to scream down the phone at my girlfriend. I was stood nearby and could hear his voice clearly! When contacting their online support I was told to raise my complaint with that same manager. Very unprofessional and horrible service.

It started out very well... We had a lovely guy, Harry, showing us the flat in Canary Wharf. Harry is probably the only best thing about Alex Neil! The flat was lovely. But right after we moved in, the problems started... It takes the agency ages to apply to emails and we never reached them on the phone. We had an office just in front of the flat, but they only dealt with viewings and told us to email the head office, which in the end we had to do. But as I said, it took them ages to reply. It seems like they don't care at all. We had a lot of things from the previous owners left in the flat and we asked, if we could throw all those things away. It way so much, it took over almost our whole living room. And it took Alex Neil about 2 weeks to reply. Two weeks without a proper living room, right after we moved in. We also didn't have enough keys for everyone in the flat for about 2 weeks as well. Then our dish washer broke. Another few weeks until this was fixed. But the worst was, that our heater broke in December. It was super cold and for more then 1 week we had no heater and no warm water, because Alex Neil never replied to our emails or didn't bother sending someone over. Towards the end of our contract our balcony door didn't close anymore. We told them 2 weeks prior to everyone moving out. On our moving day someone came over to have a look, but on our Check Out day, two weeks after everyone moved out, it was still not repaired. New tenants probably moved in with a non working balcony door... When we told them our leaving date, they advertised the flat to be ready for new tenants some days after that day and made us pay for the days, the flat was unattendend. Just unfair, because they knew our end of contract date months in advanced and also didn't bother to tell us, that they always count 2 days for admin things between moving out and moving in. Alex Neil is extremly unprofessional and not honest to their tenants. They just care for themselves and their landlords!

Worst experience ever! We rented an apartment from CBRE, we were left without hot water for weeks and the property manager Charly did not respond to my messages and calls and didnt resolve the issue. As if this was not enough, now that we left the apartment, had it professionally cleaned, CBRE sent us a list of "issues" and is holding back our deposit of 2 months! The comments they had was like: a hair seen on the sofa, the vacuum cleaner is dusty, minor splash marks seen... I though I was renting an apartment to live in, but I guess for CBRE even breathing the air inside the apartment would cost money. Super furious and disappointed, considering that the rent wasn't cheap at all. Maybe all leasing agents are the same, but please think twice before choosing their service and be very careful when you check out, they will send you a "usage report" of 90 pages!

I have to move for unfortunate personal circumstances but would've stayed for how amazing they were at every little thing from onboarding, to light bulbs, to moving out. Particularly Laura, Eithne and Harry have definitely made my stay in my home truly feel like a home without any hassle. Sad to be leaving the place more because of how amazing the team has been.

Marios Tsatsos, 24 Apr 2021RE: Tower House Move in at your own choice, and yes this review is subjective, but there are a few things you have to consider if you're thinking about moving in. There is a MASSIVE construction works going on behind the building. I hear they're building a hotel next door, started shortly after I moved in. We didn't hear a word about this when we were signing on, and at that time, Tower Quay legally would have known. I don't think they legally have the obligation to tell tenants. And maybe they actually told tenants at the time, fair enough, but here I am to let you know if you're signing on and you didn't know already. Thing is loud. Also, today they turned off the water with absolutely no notification to tenants. Not that deep at all but I pay £1,000 a month - it's not that hard to send me an email. Point here is this is one example of a multitude you'll find in these reviews which show Tower Quay don't really care. The umbrella property manager is minted (billions), so everything they'll be doing will be just about the right side of the law - you can't technically ask any more of them. But read other people's reviews about their deposits or the way Tower Quay have acted during the corona/furlough crisis for instance. This organisation comes under a billion pound property manager and yet they still try to scrape money off tenants and go about their business with no care for their tenants in respects like these. Yes, you can't ask for any more, but know that if you get in a tenancy pickle, Tower Quay is going to be far from your friend.

We lived in Tower House for a year, from May 2019 to May 2020, when we moved out they made ridiculous deductions from our deposit - from providing a broken sofa and tried to charge us for it, luckily we did have proof of its state at arrival and this has been taken off, charged us for removal of a small box which we left there, professional cleaning (we professional cleaned the flat) to a sink which was blocked for our entire tenancy despite telling them. I have also tried to get a parcel which arrived 3 days after we left the flat, along with some post and they failed until even now to get someone to open the letter box for us blaming the currect situation (there is always a receptionist, and they always have viewings so this could have been easily solved straight away) and by the way I have been chasing them weekly for this since May. The flat was all the time covered in mold, we always had to clean it up. And the worst, RODENTS - we had a mouse pet for the whole of our tenancy (started with being in the kitchen all the time, then it moved on the balcony). I hope no one else will make the same mistake by choosing them.

Rented a studio in London let by Dockleys. We have lived in many countries and have experienced numerous lettings agencies, of which unfortunately Dockleys has been the worst. During the tenancy we required maintenance in the studio. After countless follow ups and our emails being ignored, Dockleys finally managed to sort the maintenance to come and fix the issue after 3 months. After giving our notice on ending the rental agreement it has required from us tenants again countless follow ups to get everything sorted. Check out or any other end of tenancy formalities like informing utilities for final bill has not been dealt in a timely manner by Dockleys. We were requested for a £160 professional cleaning fee deduction of deposit, which was not fair, when check out report was more detailed than check in + we gave back the apartment in same/better condition than received. On top of all of this our deposit has been held against false legal claims. Long story short we are just happy to be finally out of this mess, as it has been super frustrating to deal with Dockleys. All communication we have had with Emma from Dockleys.
Pinja, 22 Oct 2020Estate agent changed from London Property Management to Dockleys with a days notice (transferred during tenancy), very untimely, unresponsive and outrageous fees. Took 3 months to finally get maintenance to fix mouldy seals in the bathroom inside the apartment. A no show for check-out and handing of the keys and over 3 weeks post tenancy to get a conclusion to our deposit and still unresolved. Got charged for over 160 GBP for cleaning of a tiny studio apartment after we left the apartment spotless and much cleaner than how we received it. It was classed as "good/domestic clean" and they insisted "professional clean" even though the contract stated "clean to a good standard", the only red highlighted points were dust on the skirting boards which possibly came up as the apartment was only checked by the clerk a week later than the initial check out date. Abysmal customer service, trying to sneak in hidden fees and very unprofessional. The Heating providers were waiting for confirmation from them that we actually ended the tenancy, they answered them 3 weeks late and we now have to incur the excess heating, even though it's not much, but still shows their level of responsiveness. Dealt with Emma Woods (who is the head of lettings - astonishingly) and still awaiting our deposit, wouldn't touch these corrupt estate agents with a barge pole!

Ana Margarido, 28 May 2021During tenancy everything was fine but at the end they decided to charge us for coat hook that have already been drilled in when we moved in, removing. and replacing sofa and bed because it was in use for 10 years. On top of that charged us for REMOVING old bed and sofa from the property. Literally just trying to steal your whole deposit for whatever they want without providing proof not even trying to discuss with you any deduction instead straight up forcing you to either sue them for unlawful deposit deductions or rise dispute with TDS.

The building is not fit for purpose and not as the property is advertised or as per the lease agreement. As a concerned tenant I have raised alarms with JLL to recieve what can only be described as a very poor responce and in some cases, no responce at all. No thought for me as a small business owner and the negative impact that the site issues are having on my business. I would warn anyone against getting into any agreement with a property where JLL are involved in the management of said property.

Coming from the hospitality industry, it takes a lot for service to be recognised and Liam’s approach certainly didn’t go unnoticed. Couldn’t recommend JLL enough. From the get-go, it has been personable, professional and extremely genuine (which is hard to find these days!). Christian (the owner) knows the area very well and is honest and attentive throughout the whole process. Great at communicating, never fails to respond or act on requests, even when the "deal" is done! I've dealt with many estate / letting agents in the past and Proper Local is by far the most reliable, conscientious and straightforward.
