A unique and time saving innovation. Thank you Mashroom. Refreshing and user friendly. So much easier than the traditional process. We gave our property to several agents. Ryan clearly knows the market - he advised on pricing and held fast to his strategy. He and Simone found us fantastic tenants at the rental price we wanted to achieve. It is a while since we last rented a property and Ryan and Simone helped us all the way through the process. They were extremely professional and helpful throughout. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them!

Would not recommend to anyone. Avoid at all costs. Our story - We viewed a house and offered that day within 1 hour of leaving in November 2020, it took 10 days for the agent/seller to make their mind up we were asked to up our offer without any other viable offer on that table - we did agree to meet in the middle. Once the offer was accepted we provided all info on mortgage, ID, solicitor details in a matter of days. We then proceeded to instruct solicitors and by the end Jan/Early Feb we had completed all searches and enquires. We waited a few weeks for the seller to complete their paperwork for the chain above. In this time we were trying to complete our flat sale, before we were able to sort some issues with our buyer (buyer issues not our own), Hamptons instructed the seller to relist their property. A knee jerk reaction considering we had been patient multiple times at this point. Within 48hrs they had a "cash" buyer and told us we could no longer buy the house. Within that 48hrs we were able to confirm our sale was proceeding as planned (solicitor evidence provided), the stamp duty was extended AND we were able to get ourselves in a position to instruct solicitors to exchange as we weren't dependant on the sale of our flat. Despite all of this and being told we would have first refusal when the property was relisted we were told they would only sell to this cash buyer. We then went back with the offer to increase our initial offer as a gesture of good faith. This was met with an unclear and unhelpful response. Finally, Hamptons asked us to sell our searches so we could help the seller move quickly. We didn't chose to take this option. I truly believe the team at Hampton Harpenden have mis advised their client and not told the full story to the seller. We are gutted to have lost the house that we have financially and emotionally invested in for over 3-4 months. Regards of what Hampton's say on their version of events this is not how this should have played out and is completely unprofessional.

Newer agent John seems honest, which is refreshing in the industry. Hard to give a positive review to these agencies though, as they're definitely helping inflate the prices making Harpenden a bubble about to burst. Dropped to bottom of best cities with TotalMoney.com due to our ever increasing prices. Hamptons seems to be known for giving highest bids along with Ashtons. Would love to see Harpenden stay affordable to the long term residents.

John Curtis in Harpenden were approached alongside two other agents for the purposes of probate and sale valuations. Both were provided immediately. We chose JC because of their broader web exposure. We also had confidence that they knew and understood the market and that they could reach buyers locally, in London and further afield. We felt confident that they would sell the house for us at the best price possible and they did just that securing a cash buyer at the full asking price on the first day of viewing. From then on their service was seamless in terms of the necessary checks and progressing the sale. They were also competitive, always courteous, responsive and professional. Without question they deserve 5 stars, and our particular thanks must go to Tom who conducted the initial viewing.

Having recently dealt with this company I can honestly say they are extremely good at what they do! They are efficient and helpful in every aspect of selling a house without being 'pushy'. They are always available for those endless questions you forget to ask at a meeting! Very professional and I would highly recommend them.

Nick, Charlie and the team at Allsopp are a dream to work with. I have since worked with many more estate agents after moving away from Harpenden and these guys are hands down the best. I didn't think I'd ever say this about an estate agent but I truly miss working with them. We rented a property from them in Harpenden for 2 years. They're always very dependable, prompt to respond to our requests and on hand with good recommendations/solutions to our queries. They also have a good relationship with the landlord, which helps a lot from a tenant's perspective when it comes to negotiations and finding solutions to anything that may have come up during the tenancy. The fact that they are a relatively small agency also means I get to know everyone there and feel that their service is both personal and professional at the same time.
