We had a very honest conversation about the price of the property and the local market and we made it clear that we couldn't afford to sell below a certain price. She didn't waste our time with silly offers and time waster viewings and she kept us fully informed along the way. Once we accepted an offer, she checked in regularly as the sale progressed and when an unnecessary complication arose relating to an EWS1 form, Hope put in a lot of extra effort to go between the management company, the mortgage broker, the buyer and us until eventually a solution was found and the sale was able to proceed. Village sold our property for us, having secured the asking price a day or two after going on the market. Jack, Phil and the team were always great to deal with. We put this down to doing the simple things right, like personal service and the right level and quality of communication, but they are also clearly very accomplished at negotiating and keeping both parties ‘warm’. They always managed our expectations well and never over-promised on the sale price they could achieve, like many other agents in Borehamwood tend to do. In our experience many of Village’s local competitors could certainly take a few leaves out of Jack’s and Phil's books!
